And having munchy pop in in the middle just for fun made the ep that much better. One of my fav episodes lately just for how fun and lighthearted and organic the conversation all felt

The thesis behind Vegeta's "You are Number One" speech is that, while Goku and Vegeta both fight for their friends and families, Vegeta still fights to win, to defeat his enemies, and to puff up his pride, whereas Goku fights to test himself and push his limits. Goku embodies the pure martial arts spirit of self improvement and that is why he is better than Vegeta.

About alcohol and the 3 beer rule: Alcohol does 2 things, it's a depressant and it's an inhibitor to something called GABA, which in turn inhibits dopamine. In other words: you get a dopamine rush but then the depressant effects take over. If you don't experience the "3 beer vibe" it's probably because your body likes it's gaba or doesnt like the dopa too much

Hey Jess as for wrestling lectures I probably would love to hear about the shield since they as a whole seem pretty relevant and getting back into it I have no idea what their deal was or why they are important now. Just that nobody likes Roman(except when he leaves for cancer) and Dean Ambrose was fed up with Vince and left. But for someone I do know about I feel like Kane would be a good choice considering the pure variety in his story. The unmaskings, the serious taker stuff,odd couple tag teams ,comedy, just plain weird story lines, him teaching about austrian economics and being a mayor on the side. There should be enough to weave together a great lecture.

I'd be fucking stoked for a history podcast by Munchy. I find it funny when he's always talking about how he shouldn't keep going when he dips into history to make a point saying that it's gonna be boring cause I just find it very interesting. Every history buff specializes in a different section of history, so pretty much everyone that likes the subject has something to teach to everyone else.

There only being two sith at a time is dumb until you read the Darth Bane trilogy which is one of the few good Star Wars stories, because it is written by the same guy who wrote Knights of the Old Republic. I knew before even clicking on this video that Jesse would bring up that comment. Mussolini's grandaughter's actions make perfect sense when you take into account the fact that she's Italian and Italians are more loyal and protective of their family's honour than most. Jesse, I'm a code monkey - I might be able to find the magic key to unlock that weird ass format you have stored that video in. PM me (or you can just ignore this if you already have hordes of people hard at work cracking the code). Speaking of videos, don't buy into Adobe's cartel guys. I've heard good things about Davinci Resolve - in particular the interface and colour grading. Give it a try - the basic version is free and has most of the important features. America had tried to purchase Greenland before from the Danish right after WW2 for a price of $100 million ($1460 million in today's money) but the offer was declined. It seems a little pointless because the Americans kind of get to use the area anyway for their military shenanigans thanks to NATO. My rebuttal to Tom's argument is to go the opposite way of Digi and argue that the idea of a specific default way of thinking for your brain is false. Your mind is a whirling swarm of electro-chemical interaction where most of the individual actors within get replaced by the constant cellular churn that is your metabolism. The you that exists now and the you that existed a millisecond before are not the same person - you percieve a continual perception because of your memories but your consciousness is really a series of still frames of a person being murdered and replaced by another person with the same memories and a mostly similar internal structure every microsecond (this is a simplification since your neurons don't all have the same refresh rate but you get the idea) If you think of your mind like a churning river, things in the environment like drugs, music, conversation, and even your own internal introspection are like landmasses that morph the flow of this river. Rather than resist changing your mind - you should embrace it and stop identifying with your thoughts but rather with the agent that is experiencing the qualia of your reality. Please don't listen to fucking Digi when it comes to drug use - Adderal use stresses the fuck out of your liver so it is bad for regular use and for infrequent use, you might as well go for it's more potent and safer Onichan - Modafinil. Yes it's more expensive for now (hoping that patent expires soon so we can get those cheap generics) but it's a lot better.

I've resigned for the time being. My work life is just too stressful for me to fit the PCP into my schedule - it's honestly been killing me the last few months. Ben in a anarcho state why would people be willingly share resources and labor? Why wouldn't an anarcho state just create a power vacuum?
@WowThereBuddy15 жыл бұрын
MeetTheGalaxy there’s no such thing as an Anarcho state. It would be small decentralized communes.
@igorlowensahr69015 жыл бұрын
I’ll give an answer, though I don’t know if it’s the same Ben would… There’re various points of view on what really is Anarcho-Communism, so this is just my take. An Anarcho-State is an oxymoron, Anarcho-Communism aims at decentralized democratic self-governance organized mainly around Communes, Syndicates and Worker Cooperatives, rather than centralized institutions under the state. Resource distribution is according to the old Marxist maxim “From each according to his ability, To each according to his needs" with abolition of private property, but retaining respect for personal property, with collective ownership of Real Estate and Means of Production. However, I do understand your confusion… It's mostly this faulty association of Anarchism with disorder. The Right has co-opted “Anarchism” and “Libertarianism”, but these terms are originally inherently leftist. Anarchism is supposed to flatten the playing field for all not just remove the State. Anarcho-Capitalism and Libertarian Capitalism aren’t really Anarchist in this sense, these champion a “Might Makes Right” approach, whether it be military or economic might. To achieve or at least attempt true Anarchy, organization is quintessential... I hope I’ve demonstrated that much. I also hope this comment didn't take more effort than it deserves...
