After taking a 6 week break from blackjack after losing $10k I went back last night and proceeded to lose $2k in about 13 minutes. I lost the first 9 hands I played. Each of those 9 hands the dealer had a face or ace up card. The 3 times he had ace up he had blackjack. Just absolutely terrible. Makes me not want to ever go back. Glad to see you're winning. Just wish I knew how to do that for myself.

No, this was not basic strategy. You are setting yourself up for two 16's against the dealer's 17, but hitting a 12 is a far better play against a dealer's possible 17.

Comps for BJ players are non existent anywhere in Vegas. You have to play in a high roller room if you're on the Strip since that's the only place where you can find 3:2 payouts anymore. I've had the best luck at the Cosmopolitan high roller room and Aria as well but the rules tend to be the same anywhere on the Strip. I think I just caught better shoes at those 2 casinos. @@VegasGamblers A lot of the probability in Black Jack is misunderstood. I.e. Hitting multiple times gives you a very very low probability of not busting and busting is an automatic loss so standing in some cases is smarter then hitting as you also could steal the high card away from the dealer which would have resulted in a bust for the dealer. Relative vs absolute probability. But good video it was enjoyable to watch!
