Morning Jase, I hope the doc appt goes well. It has finally stopped raining today and clear (of course it is the eclipse was yesterday in pour rain and clouds). But it’s bloody cold 🥶 still. Glad to see the peas doing well still and the slugs share with you. I was just out bathing my slugs too (not with my hands 👍). For being so wet you have a lot going and thriving. Have a super week and stay dry, Ali 🥶🌦️🇨🇦

Hi Ali. It’s chucked it down all day here and blown a gale. Think I might sow some rice 😂

Hi Jase. All is looking good. It gets harder to keep up as spring goes on, but all we can do is try. Hope your hand is OK and you get the results you hope for.

Hi Colin. Your not wrong. Keeping it all going before planting out plus sowing. It’s chucking it down here today and blowing a gale. The beds will be saturated.

All looking so good Jase 😁. The cast is still remarkably clean 😆

Great tour of what's happening. I've had about 8 hours in the gardens and feeling less jealy of all the UK gardens. Hired my young neighbor to do some digging for us this week. Al and I are just not up for it. While I love it, my body does not, especially after a winter off garden chores

Thanks Robin. Don’t be jealous. It’s rained all night and blowing a gale this morning. It’s like winter again 🙄. The hard physical stuff I enjoy and keep pushing myself to do. But I have to admit it takes me way longer than in my 20s and 30s. I just accept it’s going to take longer. Great you have a young neighbour willing to graft. A lot won’t these days.

Hiy, Jase. I'm impatiently waiting for my First Early spuds to poke through 🌱. Main Crop going in this coming weekend I think.

Hi Rich. There’s no rush. With all this wet weather I’m hoping mine don’t just rot in the ground

Thanks Stephen. Poured down all night and most of the day here. High winds too. We just have to be patient. Give it a month and we will be complaining it’s too hot and dry 😂

I have a wet end on my sloping plot and I’ve found that rhubarb loves wet soil, as do celery and celeriac. Courgettes do well in wet areas too but you need to plant them into a mound as they like to be dry but with wet roots (riverside plant characteristics). I’ve just read that back and there was no pun intended, but it reads hilariously if you apply innuendo to it and use a Sid James accent 😂😂
