if you cook something vegeterian for someone who likes meat or if you just want to cook a meal that does not contain any meat then celeriac and mushrooms are always a great choice. They share enough flavor and consistency with meat that they tend to be liked by people who eat meat and vegeterians alike. Especially mushrooms fried in a pan will give the dish some real character like you would expect from frying a piece of meat. Enjoy Christmas, everyone :)

You could probably just use potatoes, but boil them in water instead of putting them in the oven, it would be a huge waste of energy.
