Hi Tanmay Since you are in Bangalore, below are some hand-picked recommendations. We do follow your page regularly. Do give a try to the below. 1. MTR (for Rave Idli, idli sambar and Dosa) (If going for lunch or dinner then try their south indian meals) 2. Sidappa Hotel (for Khali Dosa and Pulav on Tuesdays and Thursdays) 3. Lakshmi Nataraj, Nagrathpete (For it's pudi bath masala dosa). 4. Balaji chat Corner, Basavanagudi (Floating Pani puri, Bun Nippat masala and bhel Puri) 5. Brahmins coffee bar or By two coffee (Idli-Vada chutney - do ask for some of their parcel (thick) chutney as well) and bisibelebath) 6. Do try a good masala puri at any of the famous joints (If you go to Nagrathpete, then try the masala puri at Jumma Masjid Road) 7. Anand Sweets (commercial streets or jayanagar for amazing sweets and delhi food chole bhature - must try) 8. Rameshwaram cafe (Rajajinagar - visit at late night like 11 PM or 12 midnight - you will have amazing mad rush) (little premium version of south indian food - podi tatte idli and dosa) 9. Do visit breakfast places like 1.CTR ( central tiffin room) , in malleshwaram 2. Siddappa hotel, very famous for pulav rice , it's next to sindhur hotel, there is a street which will take you to siddappa hotel which is very famous. 3. MTR ( mavali tiffin room) , near Lalbagh west gate and urvashi theatre Bangalore. 4. SLN , it's in jayanagar and gandhi bazaar as well .

Hi Tanmay Having left Bengaluru for.overseas more than 20 yrs ago, I do feel the food and taste have changed in Bengaluru. Can you imagine when the trend was dose without oil to now deep fried dosa(read Rameshwaram cafe)😂..I believe everything needs to be in balance else one taste overpowers others and it would no more be a dose. Also, it used to be just masala dose and there was no mysore masala dose.. I remember first dose camp in front of vijayanagar police station making 99 doses..standing in queue. Well dose..as someone had mentioned everywhere it is more or less same..but the ones who have been consistent are VB, CTR, MTR, JANATHA, Dwarka Bhavan..ah those engineering days passing this hotel..,Veena stores, Brahman coffee bar to name a few SLV had the best pulav..every other day for me coming out of my college..that too pulav soaked with chutney Old bangalore has many eateries UKB, gundappa hotel, Vade Ramanna List is endless.. There dose's still taste great else there would be no customers and rush there... Ofcourse there are so many new dose hotels which have some variation in their chutney or dose making... That doesn't mean VB is overrated... Stop being negative and stop defaming a famous icon of Bengaluru. You open a restaurant and prove that you can make better dose than them and maintain the same taste for decades..

well i being a north indian have been to this place and this place is definately overhyped.there is nothing oveerwhelming that you get and taking that much effort to go to that place is not at all worth it. if you eat a dosa anywhere in bangalore you will get almost same or better taste. but if you are visiting bangalore bisibelle bhat,curd rice,and saggu with dosa is a must try
