I’m in this video. In the 6 years since it was made I’m yet to have to watch it somewhere I’ve worked 🤦🏻♂️😂

Searched the video because I saw it complete in class today, but the guy says everything too fast to write down and this is just a preview. Pretty stressful, have to find some alternative so I can study it.

Hi Randy, thanks for the feedback, we'll share that with the training team. You can slow down the speed of KZbin videos, just click the gear (settings) and adjust the playback speed. Hopefully that helps!

Dot is ridiculous. You probably only need to do an inspection like this once a week. I usually check the tires and lights every day before I drive.

While tires and lights are certainly critical components that often are the first to fail, the DOT does require drivers and motor carriers to check many other critical components whose failure could have serious consequences. Keep in mind that the regulations are the minimum standards; most carriers go ‘above and beyond’ the inspection rules not only as a way to satisfy the DOT and catch problems early but as a way to reduce liability in the courtroom, where the monetary penalties can - as we all know - go far beyond any penalties from the government. That’s just the reality of the world we live in, unfortunately!
