As you said, EVERYTHING is just outdated - the models, chassis, map, and graphics. And ofc, lack of updates especially from Simbuilder. There’s really no way for the game to revive. All he can do is just make it into a “good ol day” game to give it something to its og devs for them to play it every now and then.

Yeah I agree they should just bring back the old map, maybe remove some of the crappy looking newer cars and refund players for it or remesh them to look at least somewhat like the actual car, and just fix some of the major bugs and just leave the game as a nostalgic place.

@@marksman_1372 yeah, whenever this happens I refer to it as “the UD effect”, this sadly happens to most games in the roblox car community, killing off OG Roblox users like UD players, vehicle sim players, and even games like jailbreak.

I remember buying it back in Alpha. It was the best car game by far when it came to graphics but other games have left it behind

Vehicle sim was the game that actually got me into cars and really addicted to cars, I remember I said something similar to one of your vs video's a long time ago. But it really is sad to see the game completely dead, I remember when it was in its prime, that's when I even joined roblox was around 2017. Honestly the only hope I could MAYBE see like you said is to completely rework the game, call it something similar to vehicle simulator but make it apparent its a rework, even adding a simple "2" at the end as tacky as it would be, would still be good enough. I never exactly knew about simbuilder online and what things he's gotten into there since I don't follow him but I don't think he cares about the game truly as you said. He just does it for the attention to hopefully draw players into the game. The only times I play that game now is for nostalgia and that's it. I don't grind it anymore like I used to.

I reckon the game died around 2020, but it depends on how you percieve a game as being "dead". Theres always going to be people playing the game, however nothing significant has happened to VS for a couple of years. Take Full Throttle for example, its an old, outdated game, yet people still played it after it was abandoned by developers, just because it was a nostalgic and simple game to play. I think Vehicle Simulator will remain active in terms of players just because of its history and popularity. It will take people a bit longer to move on.

Also I'll add that Vehicle Simulator is absolute garbage compared to modern games. Its easy to forget how bad the chassis and other bugged elements of the game were, however its also still one of the most in-depth games in terms of features and gameplay opportunities such as the uneccessary inclusion of prisons, ai police, crates, etc (most modern driving games lack any uniqueness and depth).

its not how you "perceive" the game, its about the quality of the game, and vehicle simulator died because of the lack of updates and horrendous updates that ruined it.

By the way, the developer got banned from vehicle simulator and I had a prediction that Vehicle Simulator was gonna die back when it was popular and my predictions were correct, especially because there were exploiters and the developer didn’t do anything about the game and as a game owner, his responsibility was to make sure that his game didn’t die and honestly, this was his fault that the game was dying because he didn’t do anything about the exploiters

I didn't play it much when it was in its prime, but i did enjoy vehicle sim overall, and i definitely wouldn't mind seeing it return though to status like other games in the racing genre on roblox I'm not too sure about

It would be nice to see VS get back up with the game. How is Vehicle Legends as a community? Have you ever thought about checking it out in 2023?

idec about the car models, its just the lack of updates, poor map changes. and lets be honest. the game is just dated, i love the nostalgic models, but newer models wouldint make the game "vehicle simulator" anymore. it feels cheap and low quality but thats how games were back then

On Xbox it’s so bad, I can get in a car but I can’t drive it forward or backward, I try and drive a bike and it works fine but I can’t get off it unless I reset and sometimes when I reset I’m stuck there on the ground until I reload the game

I think Simbuilder should just drop the game and make a vehicle sim 2, completely starting from scratch on a new map, and hiring a new team of modern devs that could make the game good graphically.

Well we all have different opinions and in my opinion because I just need a simulator with archipelago boats mostly and it Is very easy to build own sceneries to that simulator and thanks to Sim 3d and the new nice ships and boats on their site and very nice sceneries the brain new Baltic Sea west very detailed and very good scenery I don't that simulator is dead at all no I just love this simulator and I only use it as a good and nice simple boat simulator and I have got a nice scenery from a friend with the whole Stockholm archipelago and Stockholm city parts in it and with possibility to easy fix so it can be so close to the realitiy as possible

@@serily4524 Driving Sim is an arcadey low poly styled game and their models fit that. Low poly can be a style. In Vehicle Sims case however it is trying to look as realistic as it can be and the current models don't do that,
