My mechanic couldn't get the light to turn off, but I did after watching this. Amazing! If it's a 97 Civic like mine, you'll need to get the yellow wire on the far right and you will need to detach the panel with a screwdriver.

Use 2 wire leads. Plug one end of each lead into connector. Then just connect and reconnect the other ends. Tried a couple of times with paper clip and if aren't quick enough you have to start over. Only took 1 time with the wires and it gives you more room to do it

Could this affect the horn? I have a airbag light and no horn

@@1_800_iFarted my horn worked before doing the reset and still worked after so I dont think it affects the horn . Check to see if there is a fuse for the horn. Anything is possible through. I wouldn't think they would tie horn into that light

hi man... thanks for the DIY. It works on my CIVIC 2001. I tried twice, the first one I got the blinking but the SRS remain after I start the engine. So I guess I wasn't carefully pay attention the timing. But the second try-out I did carefully connect disconnect by the time the light on and off and then the SRS gone... yipeee.

Thank you! It worked on a 2006 Honda City. There is three yellow connectors on mine. The smallest one with only two places for pins was the one I needed.

Bc i took that panel off and there is not yellow wire going to fuse box. but there is one on the back of the fuse box that has 2 wires in it. is that the one? or there are other ways how to reset that on06 mdx? help please thanks

Hey Dan, I bought an 09 acura csx type s but the airbag light is on, also the side curtain airbag light(the amber one). I was told that it was in a side collision on the passenger side. I watched your videos to attempt to reset the srs light but with no luck, then I watched your other video and found out I have the srs code 5-4, which means internal srs failure I think. My question is, what should my next step be? I also found the error code b1241 51 on the dash? Please help, thank you.

You can erase any error on any car by disconnecting the battery and connecting again after a few minutes. Any way you can’t erase any error of your car definitely if something’s wrong because after awhile will pop up again.

Worked for me on my 1997 Civic LX! There were three yellow connectors. It was the top right one when looking directly at the fuse panel. Make sure the paper clip goes snugly inside and not just resting on top of the connector.

so if the airbags deployed this won't clear the light right? so if i get the crash data cleared from my srs unit. and i do all the bypasses on the buckles, the light show be off. If the light comes back on after the crash data is cleared. because of a bad resistor. can i do this trick with the paper clip to clear the data. and install a new resistor thanks
