@CoopHawke having played every class through every mass effect soldier is the most enjoyable class for Mass Effect 1. It's simple and absurdly tough and it's hilarious to pop immunity and just charge through incoming fire.

@Icanthas it was my 1st class I played. Growing up I always picked the "warrior" equivalent in RPGs because I want the simple gameplay. Also playing Soldier limits your party makeup in ME1. Tech is necessary to unlock things using 2 stats. So you'd have to take atleast 1 tech squadmate and dump alot of their points into electronics and decryption or take 2 tech squadmates and spread it out.
