I haven't played this game because I'm not really interested in zombies or apocalypses but this really was great. It was really enjoyable experiencing it along with her for the first time.

Of course Vei heard Crawford's rules about 'the weak' and approved. Clementine's different though, because Vei likes her. Also, I forgot Omid and Christa were only a part of the gang for a chapter and a half. Sometimes the characters who *don't* stick around leave lasting impressions, like poor Chuck. Him helping to push Clementine towards survival would turn out to have reverberations through every season. Ben on the other hand was here for most of season 1 and... he tried. Presumably. I feel like a lot of people get mad at him because deep down they worry in an emergency, they'd probably either just be dead, or if lucky, some group's Ben. "She should have a problem with the people who ran this place, not [the Doctor]." I'll say this, someone fully in the tank for Crawford has helped me to find new perspective on this whole thing. Telltale did a good job *not* writing that Doctor as a cartoon villain. Like, he has a clear perspective, he's never cruel or capricious or arbitrary, and like Vei says, he's just doing his job. He's still a monster, but that's what good writing can do even for bit parts, because ofc, in our own perspective, we're never some cackling villain. "Man, it feels like my Dad just died again."
