This makes me cry every single time. Meaning is too deep and hard to put in words. I can try to explain in a few words. Background is soldiers Bachon ko lene aaye hain, they are youngest kids of 10th Sikh guru Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. Dono bade Bhai already jung mein shaheed ho Gaye hain and abb Aurangzeb ne bachon ko zinda diwar chunwa dene ki saza di hai. Little babies probably do not even know the meaning of chunwana so they tell their dadi that They are only going to get buried in walls not killed, just to pacify her. During the song, there is flashback of happy times and thts when dadi thinks k main inn bachon ko lada(Dulha) bana hun dekhna chahti thi and puts little ornament on their dastar(turban) and makes them dulha-song in the background is Punjabi wedding song where it says that sisters are dancing in their brothers wedding. I can bet you won’t be able to Control your tears had you understood the meaning of the song. Little translation : vela aa Gaya a daadiye judayi da, Assa ajj mud k auna nai : it’s the time to seperate and we are not coming back today; Tainu dasiye kive ki hona a, enna akhiyaan nu asi ruwaona nai - how do we tell you what’s gonna happen, we do not want to tear your eyes. Dadi ji says : vekhaangi na fer roohaan niyaariyaan, rajj k nihaar la main soortaan pyaariyaan: I am not going to see these wonderful souls again, i Wana see these beautiful faces to content my soul Pyaare pyaare siraan Te kalgi Saja diyaan, toran to Pehlaan tuhanu lada bna dyaan: I want to put the wedding ornaments on your heads and see you as groom before I send you off today Writing about it made me feel the pain again and have teary eyes. Farmers protesting on borders or children of same waheguru who sacrificed their life to protect others. Please protect farmers interest and help them. Bhul chuk maaf.

Hello! Seeing this much later than it has been posted but wanted to explain the diff scenes and lyrics to this song. The song begins with them telling their grandma the news they have just heard that they will be bricked alive. The part where they say “maar thordi den ge” this goes a little far from the history as they all knew very well they would be killed, so it was a point to highlight the depth of the inhumanity of the rulers who would choose to brick alive such young children. The song continues to their grandmas voice which is sung by Narula ji explaining that she separated from her son and now they (her grandsons) will be leaving her too. She tells them she will soon leave with them (She leaves her body as her grandsons are killed as well). The wedding songs are included because in Sikh history, it is a common saying of death being described as “laardi-maut” referencing it as if it is something you happily get married to. It is this spirit that has allowed hundreds of years of injustices to never break the spirits of Sikhs, as it is embedded that we shall all die one die, why be scared of it? This song captures both aspects of how heartbreaking and inhumane it was to kill children at the age of roughly 5 and 7 years old and the separation of the entire family. Hope that helps! These two little kids (younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji ) were covered in a wall. Wall fell after some time. Two kids (Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh) were unconscious. During this unconsciousness their heads were cut with knifes on the order of Wazir Khan (Subedar of Sirhind town) . This all was done on the strict orders of Aurangzeb. We Sikhs give respect two the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji by calling them BABA just because of their dareness shown in a very small age. Name of four sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji. 1 Baba Ajit Singh Ji. 2 Baba Jujhaar Singh Ji. 3 Baba Zoraawar Singh Ji. 4 Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
