Veldes is everything I wanted, and everything I never thought I needed in more recent Black Metal. The melancholy tone's too perfect for me to accurately describe here; even more than Ember Breather, which was my favorite until I found this.

And the instruments raised the bar quite well, I may add. I find myself whistling the opening acoustic, and some of the piano licks from this and Ember Breather every other day, basically, by this point.

StormCrow95 Atmospheric/Melancholic/Melodic black metal has been my treat for the past year. It has the right atmosphere and feeling to it, which for me, defines how the black metal sound is supposed to sound. I love the slow to mid paced tempo with a strong focus on distrorted, cold and dark riffs played with a euphoric tremolo picking.

Seeking the land beyond is a masterpiece....I loved what they did with the melody in and out of blast beats to straight beats and how the vocals began following the melody ....timeless!!!
