A big problem in this game is that the dragoon magics and late game bosses have overly cinamatic attacks that can fukkin dragg the fight, I remember the final boss has an attack that lasted for 1 minute, they should have gotten FF9 treatment and have an option to skip lengthy attack animations

There was an option to turn on “short transformations”. But you have to remember the time it was from. Watching long attacks and transformations every single encounter was pretty normal. Look at the anime and shows of the early 90s . Magical girls and beefy dudes with over the top boss attacks. They were flexing their polygons.

in my last and final round the dg spirits were maxed out on disc 1, also had 3 magic casque and 3 legend armor that i swapped around.

I'd make quite a few adjustments to the game if they ever remade it. Making specific mechanics different. 1. Use items and revert dragoon form. These two mechanics can be very crucial to making the dragoon form not feel so restrictive. 2. Finish Kongol's additions and adjust his spell mechanics to be more defensive to make up for his terrible magic stat. 3. Create a "single attack" addition for all characters purely for SP. And give additions to Shana / Miranda. 4. Increase the item pool limit as you progress through the game. 5. Make weapon models for items. So that there's visual upgrades to the weapons one equips. (Like Rose getting the Dragon Buster.)

More arrows? funky trick shots? btw for 4 the original japanese version and I think some international ones had an item that doubled the item pool. It was taken out of the US and possibly all english versions. Including that would solve it.

dude this game gives me so much nostalgia. probably my favorite from playstation 1. Albert was def my favorite character and if i remember correctly he was like the 2nd of 3rd person you unlocked to fight alongside and i jus got to use to using him i was hitting all of his addition attacks without missing a button. i remember it was like a 6 disc game or maybe im trippin. could’ve been 3 but i remember after every few so boss fights it’d be like “insert next disc” it was like a movie and you kept playing because you wanted to know how it ended.

Ice is part of the water element. But yeah it is strange, Although Meru’s Diamond Dust and Final Fantasy Shiva’s Diamond Dust is different. But Shiva is not a summoned creature in Final Fantasy 12, They named an airship after her. The esper of Ice is Mateus and it’s who you’ll be able to summon after defeating him.(Yes I didn’t know Mateus is a male and It’s quite confusing since he has an Ice goddess as a shield to make him look like a female.) But he was hard to beat.

Gaspless was against an Earth Element monster so 2x damage. Jade Dragon was against a Wind Element monster so 50% damage and Albert's magic abilities blow goats.
