It's honestly an insult to the developers and to the game itself. You'll get some shared moves among shared or similar skeletons, but each monster has a set of unique actions as well as unique behaviors. Hell, even Diablos and Black Diablos are very different fights due to Black Diablos's significantly more chaotic AI and unique moves that see it constantly running around and rarely staying in one spot, making it much harder to predict and control.

There’s similarities in animations, pale colouration and overall body shape but its mechanics and attack methods seem completely different. They definitely use the same skeleton, but much like Nargacuga vs Tigrex vs Barioth, they actually play very differently. Now the "so, its an ice kushala" comment reminded me: one thing I hope to see in iceborne, is Kushala actually HAVING an ice element when you fight it in the new map, because traditionally, Kushala has an ice element attack only when its in a frozen region. since there wasn't an ice map in the base game, it didn't have an element. that alone could add some challenge to the Kushala fight, along with the additional moves.

Im pretty sure that with decent enough weapons you can headlock Velkhana just like Kushy. Its going to be just that little harder though
@Jamila2065 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Velkhana maybe Kushala Daora’s parent

Why did they remove the mechanic of Kushala causing heavy rain wherever it went (like in Freedom Unite)?

They might look similar and have some same animations like when they get stunned and fall over but watch the attacks u will see they are completely different

Teostra, lunstra, val hazak, valkana and kushala all share the same skeleton body type which leads to similar looking moves across all of them Same thing with tobi kadachi, odagaron and zinogre Monsters in this game all share a skeletal body type and they can do alot of cool and unique thing with them but there is always a bit of homogany, which allows them to create new monsters quicker and import older monsters of the same body type into the game they call attention to this in older games saying because they're in the same genetic family so they're alot of shared traits between them

Also not everyone has that privilege. Come September 6th and some very hefty coin, then the public will have access. From the little I've witnessed, it seems like an original fight

Velkhana is a lot of fun to fight, it feels unique with its ice abilities and tail strikes. Barioth is much harder to me, personally. (MR 18, HR 105, Bow)

I mean, showing kushala getting beat up doesn't really prove anything. Velkhana is of course very different from kushala, but to the people who don't believe that, showing him getting beaten up would probably just make it seem to them that "velkhana is just a stronger kushala". you should have compared their attacks/fighting style and aggression, because these things are a lot more different from each other.

Canta probably doesn't have the time to do that. Probably doing this take her frustration out on the stupidity they say.

I think you can guard point most of his attacks, just needs practice.
