U can create a null to output ball geometry. Then on the object context, create a new geo node and a “object merge” inside it.Reference the ball null on it. This way u can render the grass(hair/fur) and the ball(geometry) as diferent objects.

@@CLMograph Hey thank for the video! i should of looked at the comment below. I couldn't get the object merge node to work, instead I just copied the key frame inputs in another geo node to go work in along the simulation.

Question when I animate the ball rolling I get bezier in the key lframe and screws up the animation. I have no clue why or how to turn it off.

Hey! U can click the parameter is name, and “bezier” should change to the values, its just a expression to specify its an keyframe animation.

how do you merge the textured ball with the vellum grass? i get a warning on the merge not and the ball renders black

U can set a null on the ball geometry. Then create another object and use the object merge referencing the null. So u render the grass and the ball as diferent objects. Got it?
