While there is a possibility that it’s because she’s Indian and female (which are stupid reasons because they are racist and sexist), it’s not mainly about that. It has more to do with her self-inflated personality than anything else. Man, HBO/Warner Bros. is overrated (not up to Viacom/Nickelodeon/ Paramount standards, but still hit or miss, Velma being one of HBO’s biggest misses alongside Game of Thrones (mainly seasons 6-8), Velma, Leaving Neverland (aka “anti-MJ propaganda”) and yes, they even made Sesame Street a shell of its former self by making it all the more kiddie than very respectable like its first 45 years)
