The KSS engine is just about the sweetest 350 single I've ever known: sublime! In fact, the rest of the bike, gearbox, brakes handling etc. are as good as any for that age. Ride one if you get a chance. I've ridden a couple, all too briefly, but strangely never had a chance to ride a pushrod 350 Velo to compare it with...

That is lovely. Had a KCR and a KSS many years ago. Early models with open cam boxes and plenty of oil leaked out past the felt inhibitor strips. You wont have that problem though. Again, what a great bike. Congratulations.

When i was about 18, 19, 20, back in 1980/81/82. i lived near Geoff Dodkin's Velo shop in East Sheen, W.London, and would sometimes step inside and drool at the black beauties. In those days i rode a Guzzi 250 TS.

Hello david.😊 To solve the correct fit with the chain between the two axes, I made this polyethylene guide. As it is lubricated you can also use nylon and it is easy to machine. Thanks for asking and for watching my videos. Greetings Loscar✌👍

Velocette, always a liitle bit special compared to most UK brand motorcycles. That multi-spring clutch must take some time to set up correctly. Very smooth tickover for a single.

If you ever get a chance to ride one do so, the clutch is the easiest and very best, and not difficult to set up at all, you just have t know what to do, just like with anything. Chris B.

A potential recipe for disaster using metric micrometer, feeler gauges, and spanners, why not use old fashioned imperial measuring gear ? There are many perfect items for sale today, although they are obviously second hand.
