I know this comment is late but I have been trying for an hour had to start over 5 times now just because of this one problem! The problem is when a make the clip longer or shorter you say it will speed it up or slow it down but for me it either trims the clips or duplicates the clip. Please help because I’m getting annoyed now

if you are editing 30 fps, do not go below 70 velocity otherwise it will look choppy. Don’t get me wrong, for basic video editing it’s fine, but if you want to edit seriously you should really consider this

for 30 fps render in 24 fps and have the playback rate of the clips to 2, lowest you go is 35

its because velocity speeds it up and if you make the gap to large it will cut the end of it off a little bit

Make it 300 instead of 200 cause otherwise it doesnt have enough time to fully show the clip in the given amount of time.

This works for me some of the time, but sometimes when it cuts the screen flickers to black for a split second. You can see this in my Island Clash Experience video near the end if you want to see the issue I'm talking about. How do I fix it?

you need to push "u" to unsync the audio track from the video track. then drag the audio around until it matches with the video. velocity will mess with the video speed but does not change the audio AT ALL, so you have to do that yourself afterward. and if it is playing it twice, then you need to change your velocity to a higher or lower number to get your frames synced from one shot to the next properly.

Insert/envelope doesn't appear when I right click on the movie clip. It appears when I right click on the left side bar... but it doesn't have velocity as an option. I'm thinking I wasted my money on this software.

Depends. If the clip is high fps and the gun is on the faster firing end, you can speed up around the shooting part and slow down the part where you shoot, but it can be hard if you don't know what you're doing, but the end result is dope.

literally track every single shot to your markers, id recommend to separate your audio and sync that up individually with the music too, that way there is at least the illusion that the gun is perfectly synced with the music even though the video clip might be a bit off

Slow down ur clip. put the 50 markers closer to the 200 markers and it will be better.The clip is too fast so it will replay the clip at the end simply because it hase spare time hopoe this helped

Right click on the track and it says insert/remove envelope. Hover ur mouse over it and select velocity. Then a green line will appear

This is a little late but for anyone having this problem, simply right click on the clip and click 'create sub clip'. That Should fix your extended clip problem.

yes the sound do0esnt become faster or slower. it stays. U cant rlly use the sound of the video anymore when using velocity. Maybe search up gun sounds on yt and just add those.
