Velocity potential : it is a negative partial derivative of velocity potential function w. r. to any respective axis gives the velocity component in that direction of same axis ....... Stream function : partial derivative of stram function w. r. to. any direction of axis gives the velocity component of other axis which is perpendicular to it.
