I really hope you will soon get your velomobile back!

Safety in numbers. A group or better yet a group of groups of a few thousand cyclists on the same tour will change the minds of officials. It educates the public, helps authorities sort out legalities, they will see this as a way to promote tourism, and it can be a way to sell bikes in the country, maybe even set up stores and specialized bike clubs. In the meantime, the lawyer can use this velomobile to promote these bikes.

Re: Arbitrary arrest of Armin Ziegler in Greece and the theft of his velomobile by police. This does not look bad just for Thessaloniki. It looks bad for Greece as a nation. I wonder how people in Greece would feel if a Greek tourist in Switzerland was arrested for no reason and their car was confiscated by Swiss police and held hostage in Switzerland for months just for the hell of it.

Need to appeal the illegal taking of bike...judge overstepped his bound... Should check to see if the judge covered the district that you had the bike taken from!!! It seems that you had to travel a long ways to get to the damn office...

So basically mr. Ziegler was arrested without having broken any laws and had his expensive velomobile confiscated without legal reasons, just because a local judge don't like velomobiles and find them dangerous. That's really far out and I don't understand how mr. Ziegler can remain so calm. I would be furious. 😮
