Velowave Ranger E-Bike Review - At $1699, How Does It Perform?

I got my bike July 14th 2020. Had covid so I couldn't ride it until the 21st. Been on it every day since. I work 10 hrs a day and sometimes I'm on the bike at 10 pm riding the canals! 362 miles in 26 days. I love my Velowave. I have had it up to 30 mph with pedal assist. Although, I like to cruise 16-19mph for a comfortable ride. I'm 62 years old, by the way. GREAT bike at a great price!

I luv my velowave. I did make one change. Because I didn't like being arched over while riding because the handlebars are so low, I added a 6 inch gooseneck extension. It did the trick.

It’s a really sick looking bike But i’m worried it wont perform too well on hills. I only have a few trails that are fairly flat but the rest have a quite few larger hills.

Great review! But at the 2 min mark you say recommended rider is 5-6 and 6-2. I bought one based on this review and I’m 5-8. I struggle to get up on this thing and there’s no way I could stand over the center bar without hurting myself. Right on the box it says minimum leg length 33” and let me assure you that’s correct. I don’t think there’s any way someone 5-6 could really enjoy this bike! BUT, I’m going to ride the heck out of this thing because it is a blast!! Way more power than I thought possible! I’ve had over sized bikes before, no sweat! 👍🏼

Great looking bike and price for the competition, sucks it limits you to 20 and you cant sneak upto 28 30 like others with similar builds. 20 is a deal breaker for me

How's it compare to Radpower, Himiway or Aventon bikes?

those are also good bikes. i did a quick comparison vs similarly priced radpower, and these both have similar battery specs. so basically buy whichever gives you the feature you want. you want foldable to fit in a car? you want step through?, you want easy to sit upright bike? or racer position? you want cargo front or back? etc, these and others features are more important.

75lbs!!! What??? Also, let’s talk about the Class of bike this is. Any bike with a Throttle isn’t a Class 1 eBike and those bikes are subject to more limitations with regards to areas you can ride as opposed to the Class 1 eBike.
