I still do not understand why school boards and the public want to ban books? Reading lets people empathize and develop a new understanding of how they see life. It is wrong to deprive young adult of real world struggles. Why try to restrict and challenge books? Most of these books are promoted as young adult novels, not to little children. The books are targeted to an audience with an intended maturity level. Especially currently, I would not underestimate the maturity level of young adults today.
