Cleaning up the mess is not fixing the problem! If the tunnel is installed in cold weather in the hot climate, you will get condensation every time. If that’s the problem, open the sun tunnel at the roof and leave it for 15 minutes, then put the dome back on.

So, basically, the problem with condensation in light tubes in humid climates *still* hasn't been solved. Nor has the problem of convection pumping heat out of your house. I so badly want light tubes/tunnels to work, but there are issues of thermal breaks and humidity that haven't yet been solved - only circumvented outside of the warranty period. To be fair double paned thermal windows have the same problem. They *all will* eventually blow out and fill with the fog of condensation. Some sooner, some later. But you will absolutely not find original double or even triple paned windows in any house in 30 years. If you understand how they are constructed you will understand why they are a work-around that is still designed to fail. Even "argon filled" etc. Hint: they are packed with desiccant around the frame that stalls the fogging by absorbing moisture as it slowly diffuses into the space between the panes. When the desiccant gets saturated, hello fog.

I've read that if you insulate the tube, with a breathable tubular insulation, then the condensation will stop.
