I fitted my own on an extension I built 25 years ago, but they were so simple then ! That soft membrane skirt all round was not used then, nor was the insulation around the outer frame! Conservation of heat and air-tightness restrictions have been added to the Building Regs since then, for the better, of course.

So the hole that you would cut out of the roof would have to be an extra 40-60mm in width and 45mm in height? In the video they mainly talk about the installation baton..

Quick google search tells it's a pre applied stress: During production, trusses improve on traditional rafter design by forcing an upward bend into the chords of trusses. This is referred to as a 'camber'. A camber helps to resist loads. For example, the amount of bend is calculated to help resist the load of tiles and ceiling lining. I still don't understand what he wants to say though. Need to learn about roof building.

My windows is round on the bottom side. I have a space on the left AND right side. When I use the bracket to lift the opposite of f.e. the left side it makes the right space bigger. If I do it for the right side aswell it will even it out back to to the beginng lol. I guess that is not normal?

Battling with new velux. Lots of leaks. Builders installed a flashing kit EDW SK10 2000 (red line) with a blue line GGL SK10 3070. Is this a mismatch given the different colours? Would be so grateful for any advice.

Not recommended to be fitted vertically, but if there's a fall at all, it may work.

At 2.25 the narrator say that 'the width of the opening should be between 40 and 60mm greater than the width of the window itself' .... does the 'window itself' refer to the measurement of the "window" that has previously been removed or that the measurement should be between 40 and 60mm greater than the width of the frame?

Thanks for very helpful video but do you have a newer one where there is sufficient lighting as I'm finding it difficult to see some of the details. Entschuldigung für die Aussage aber velux ist einfach scheiße. Für den Einbau brauch man um einiges länger wie beim anderen Hersteller.für die Einbauanleitung muss ich studiert haben Die Qualität hat auch nachgelassen wie vor 10 Jahren. Ob das die D.F angeht oder innenfutter
