You should tell more instructions. The velvet fabric is stretchy so it requires a certain sewing foot and needle. The fabric will roll also. Maybe use a stabilizer before sewing. Then add the felt.

I used a teflon foot. Or just simply add a clear packing tape under the normal foot. It will help to slide through the fabric easily. Hope this helps.

Hi, I use hot glue for faster way. If you want it to be more secured, you can use glue in the center, then sew the edge of hair clip
