Yep, just moved to Michigan from Arizona about 2 weeks ago. Just checked my trail cameras 2 hours ago for the first time ever on my property here. Have a 4 point, 6 point, 8 point, and a 10 or 12 point all right here on my property. I’m so dang excited, this was exactly why I got the heck out of the city in Arizona and moved here so my 4 year old son can grow up hunting in god country as far away from that god forsaken city as possible. It really came down to timing. By the time Grant squeezed the trigger on his release the elk turned. It wasn’t totally his fault, really just unfortunate.

Brandon Burdette I was wondering if, with it being summer still, how would the meat not spoil? I would figure in the winter if it’s cold enough a carcass would be fine by the next day but I don’t see how it can still be good in this case.

Donnie Joy If it was turning before he was at full draw he wouldn’t have even been able to release in time to hit him while he was turning. Don’t try to turn a story around. The body language of the bull is one thing but don’t try to say something as stupid as that. He was at full draw while the bull was standing still, quartered to.

Grant, don’t come back to Utah to hunt our wildlife. that was the most unnecessary and unethical shot I have ever witnessed. Never shoot at a moving target when using a bow. I’m surprised they actually had the nerve to show this footage. But, on the bright side, instructors can use this footage for decades to come to teach new hunters what not to do.
