I’ve been going to mass daily since covid pandemic until now. I started staying after Mass in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and lo and behold I fell in love with it. Jesus is listening and He is really present.

No one, and I mean NO ONE loves Fulton Sheen as much as I do. He became my absent Father. He taught me how to think and taught me so many beautiful truths. He is my adopted Father, I adopted him and I like to think he adopted me. I love the way he talks, the way he pitches his voice, the way he animates his body for added expression and his great sense of humour. I watched a video on youtube of his coffin being relocated; as soon as I saw his coffin I burst into tears. I truly love this man. No one is like him, no one comes close. spending an hour praying at adoration is so special, you definitely sense you are in heaven with Jesus as you pray. I always take a prayer list with me, pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary. Jesus enters my prayers the minute I step into the prayer room and the angels surround us all as we submit and give ourselves to prayer. The presence of God is palpable and real.

Immediately following the video I looked up and found out that Ven Fulton Sheen died on Dec 9th,1979 At 84 yrs old the very day after the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception... Jesus granted all his requests excepted needed his service and additional 4 years :) Edit: It was on a Sunday but in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Don't know why but I was shocked to the core when I read that

God does listen to our prayers. God acts according to His Will. I still remember after all this years that I had read . Archbishop Sheen died in front of the Blessed Sacrament as he was found in his apartment. I still remember to pray for Archbishop Sheen. He taught me a lot about faith.🙏

I am so grateful for the perpetual adoration chapel at the church by my school. I used to be able to get to daily mass but I no longer have that luxury because of my school priorities. Nonetheless, I believe adoration trumps the NO mass. I long for my summers off so that I can attend daily TLM ❤

Adoration is spending quiet time in the presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. Worship is communal in which the entire Church praises, thanks and receive our Blessed Lord in communion with one another. Praise is the act of acknowledging our Blessed Lord as the divine creator and master of all. Thanksgiving is acknowledgement that all things come from our Holy Lord and giving him all the Glory.

The distractions that caused me to struggle are always strangely gone when I leave the Blessed sacrament. Until I discovered the distractions are meant to prevent my love for Jesus from growing. Therefore I have resolved to fight the good fight and pray before my blessed Lord. The distractions have fled.

Persistence will clear your mind! Bring all those distractions as a subject of your meditation and you will conquer them as time goes by I tell you! For a beginner its normal! But the fruits is an overwhelming tranquil in the Lord!

Yes hence, the recommended 1 hour, because the first 20 mins are full of the noises of the world. Try to read a passage of the Bible before you attend to reflect (Lectio Divina) or have a mantra eg Maranatha to bring you back to focus, when you are distracted. If possible, I visit weekly on my own time (esp when something troubles me or I am emotional) I run there to seek comfort. What Archbishop described as a powerful force of radiation that exudes from the Blessed Sacrament is 1000% true. I did not believe...until I felt it. Powerful, as hot as the sun rays. I pray you will experience it too.

The Adoration is not a sacrament (Like baptism , confirmation, ect). The mass on TV is not actually a mass in the physical sense neither is adoration. Jesus made Catholicism to involve flesh, blood, and spirit; He gave the laying on of hands to the apostles and they to all priestly religious. Bishop Sheen recommends, in the beginning of this video, that if you cannot attend Adoration then spend 15 minutes in the bible. If you are home bound then I think you get the same graces as if you are really there.
