I have a tough time seeing Griffin’s pain in these songs as real as Corey’s. Griffin and Corey had very , very different upbringings and environments growing up. The pain in Slipknot, you can almost touch and feel it because of where Shawn, Joey, Corey, Jim etc. came from. But this is just well-off kids of rockstars trying to emulate 1/10 of the realness of their fathers. Sorry, not sorry, I’m not buying this.

With that said, I’m sure there is a lot of pain inside of these kids. It’s just , I personally wish they wouldn’t try to emulate Slipknot in this obvious way. Try something else.
