It's really ironic of him. Though I feel bad for him but it's him who need to step-up. Dilan's emotions have gone from fear, dread, and finally acceptance of the situation coupled with apprehension. She's lives with uncertainty everyday and Azade emotionally and verbally abuses her on a daily basis. It's not surprising that she's having difficulty going from fearing the enemy to loving the enemy. Subconsciously, she may be putting up an emotional barrier between her and Baran out of loyalty to her family. Maybe that's a part of her feeling she will never be a Karabey as she is made to feel like an unwanted burden in addition to feelings of worthlessness.
