Comedian Jodi Miller returns to the show. They open by talking about Adam’s trip to Palm Springs to see Paula Abdul & New Kids On the Block. Then they discuss Adam’s hatred of DJs and 80s/90s synth-pop music.
Next, Joe Praino reads the news including stories about Elton John peeing in a bottle, four shark attacks in Texas and Busta Rhymes raging against phones at a recent concert.
Then, Adam is joined by Kelsey Grammer for a 1-on-1, to discuss his new movie “Murder Company.”

I get Adam's rant about "musicians" not knowing music or race car drivers not knowing about cars, but the same happens in other fields. I attended a talk with Steve McCurry, who took the famous "Afghani Girl" photo for NatGeo, and he'd been all over Asia and to India like 70 times or whtever, and and he knew sweet fuck all about Asia, haha. He liked to take pictures of interesting stuff, and that was pretty much the extent of his knowledge, and he didn't seem bothered by it, and I mean stuff you don't have to have a degree in Asia to know about... just shit you figure out when you go there if you're traveling on your own, haha.

As a Music Lecturer and ex- performer I agree with Adam 100% about DJs, I refused to teach ‘DJing’ as a part of my music courses because DJs are NOT musicians and have no understanding of music, beyond that of a fan. My Grandpa was a WWII vet, and I've met others, and they definitely used some language. But guys back then generally only cursed in certain company, mainly among buddies. Not in front of ladies (although some of the women could curse too, like my Grandma), children, elders, church people, strangers... generally not in front of kids and grandkids, either, even after they were grown. They certainly didn't throw it around casually like people do now. There are exceptions, but that's been my general experience with the Greatest Generation. But you can bet when they were serving and fighting that war they were all turning the air very blue.

The reason you need a self-destruct button on spacecraft like the space shuttle is because if they fall back to Earth from orbit they will have the force of a nuclear explosion when they hit the ground unlike airplanes which don't get nearly as high or accelerate faster than around $130 miles per hour which is terminal velocity for most things that start their fall to Earth from the atmosphere. In 1986 when the space shuttle Challenger fell to Earth even though it was over the ocean and they engaged the self-destruct mechanism

@@jakeolthof no they dont. They are solid fuel systems that once they are lit they stay lit no matter what. The challenger disaster was a perfect example. Once the external fuel tank exploded the rockets continued on, albeit in a crazy erratic trajectory. Secondly, no nuclear size impact is happening from an object falling from orbit. These also burn up as they reach terminal velocity. Only comets and meteors have the type of energy you describe and they are not in orbit
