Venerable Upekkhā: "Saddhā, Confidence In Dhamma" Dhamma Talk, Guided Meditation, Q&A 04.08.24

Venerable Upekkhā begins with a 30-minute guided meditation to get in touch with the present reality of your body and mind, followed by a 17-minute reflection on the Pali term saddhā, its many translations (as faith, confidence, “to place the heart upon”), and how it can lead us into a space of willingness to take on the difficult work of admitting we might be wrong and walking in a new direction, taking inspiration from the ones we trust most deeply to try a new direction. In the last 30 minutes, participants share their reflections and experiences, including wrestling with what “faith” means and how confidence can lead us towards the freedom of letting go, a reduction in suffering, and inspiration to continue along the path.
