There is a huge difference in being happy and rejoicing. Once you realize that, life is so wonderful. I am not happy that my niece lost her baby, but I rejoice that God makes the best decision for us. It's not about circumstance. It's about bringing glory to God in all situations.

Honestly this one of the best messages I have ever heard because Francis is spot on and I completely get this. I was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and the Lord has given me so much joy and peace through the last few months that people I know marvel at how God is walking with me through this journey. I know Whose I am and I am so grateful that the Lord is at hand, He is the best Daddy and I know He’s got this. I can trust Him completely. How can I keep from singing His Name....❤️

Amen it actually IS about circumstance. Jesus said "You WILL have tribulation. " and Paul's response was "I shall REJOICE in the midst of suffering." Your suffering just means that you a true follower of Jesus Christ and your name is in the book of life! Rejoice!

I do believe through faith and scripture that we glorify God when we are joyful and peaceful. This is my struggle because we don’t know how God will answer our prayers and if God says “no” or does not answer prayers in a way that brings great sorrow and grief especially when it comes to our loved ones eternal souls it is hard to be joyful when God of all love doesn’t love those he has given you to love?????

I wish i could think this way but im too concerned with daily events and politics, military, and the economy. And living life in Gods name. And enjoy and protect his gift of life. I dont love life more then God but its like a gift from your parents on Christmas that was worth alot and very special wouldnt you use it alot and keep it safe etc etc. I want to be a Marine and marry a great woman. Maybe go into Politics and help my people and give my children and children's children hope and freedom in their lives.

The 'joy' is quickly canceled by Jesus demand that we do the same thing - That we accept all the brutalities of the world in complete forgiveness - the difference of course is that God can't really be hurt like us - so its nothing for him to forgive.

Thinking too much like a finite man rooted in the seen of this deceived & perverted world system. Truth, love & peace can only be found in God who is outside time & falsehoods. God is a person who loves. He loves because that is who He is. He is willing to suffer (yes He feels great pain because He really loves & cares & wants the best for each person He created uniquely for His purpose to be a benefit to others & the world), for a time, in order to obtain that which He seeks; a people, who choose to love Him back, who choose to put Him first bc they trust & believe in His loving & truthful attributes. For these He will provide everything they need to be with Him now & forever in a new & perfect world. For this sure hope we can be grateful & live joyfully no matter what is happening (in the short term) around them. Step out of the dark into His light so you can see the truth & live expectantly in great joy! He loves you now even though you don't want to know or honor Him. Love will not use force to gain love. Love can only be given freely. Freedom to choose is essential. This world provides a clear choice 1) choose the world system which is against God & full of confusion, chaos, deceptions, anger & hateful control tactics for the greater good or 2) choose God's eternal system of love, truth, freedom, justice & order peace. God's system can be found by the heart yearning to find it- a righteous kingdom of true purpose & value beyond the utilitarian use & dictates of the worldly operational system now in place.
