Btw fun fact you can CITADEL conqueror and to an extent Thunderer with Venezia and Zao at less than 3 km easily. I have done it! So in case you do a yolo torp rush try AP on those ships that are easy to citadel like Yama, Conq and Thunder. PS: I think even DM can (very hard) but for Hindi it's harder than for DM

@@josemiec6512 So I spent 2 hours in training to test it's citadel and pen potential on all the tech tree BB's. Gonna be a long post but it's good info. Also all my shots were made on perfectly straight targets to the midship armor belts. Once any angling is introduced the results get diminished heavily Montana: Midship/ Armor Belt: .7/.6 and under got easy citadels, .8-1.8 gets Pens, 2.0 and up are shatters. Nose: All Overpens Rear: Inner 1/4 pens and outer 3/4's all overpens Republique (This one's interesting): Midship: Lower half all failed with torp protection hits, total fail. Upper half got Pens 100% Nose and Rear: Inner half got pens, Outer half all Overpens GK (Another odd discovery as it is very well protected from SAP and I struggled to damage them once saturated) Midship: 4.5km and under I got Pens 100% of the time. Armor did nothing to stop it, very surprising Nose and Rear: Inner half got pens, Outer half all Overpens Conqueror: Midship: 2km and under got Citadels 100% of the time, super easy. 2-2.4km got pens. 2.5km and up got shatters Nose: 100% Overpens everytime Rear: Inner 1/3rd got pens. outer 2/3 got all Overpens Yammy: Midship: Lower half got shatters everytime no matter the range. Even at 0.2km I couldnt pen. The upper half got reliable pens at all ranges Nose: Inner 1/3rd got pens. outer 2/3 got all Overpens Rear: 100% Overpens everytime Kremlin: Midship: Lower half got shatters everytime no matter the range. The upper half got reliable pens. Sadly, this isn't recommended as the 2 armor halfs are super skinny so you'd pry be getting lots of shatters and overpens. Nose: Got overpens 100% everytime Rear: Inner half got pens and surprisingly broke it's steering everytime with a half salvo When it comes to SAP and where to shoot I highly suggest you go into the armor viewer for all the tech tree line BB's and find the armor layouts for Premiums. The stats in game say the total armor pen for SAP is 55mm so anything at or under that armor wise is where you'll want to put your shots.

I've seen Venezias really excell this ranked season. *Excellent destroyer killers. *Fighter consumable. *Don't really on DoT. I wonder why it's not a more popular ship.

Runs away when a Kremlin pushes your way Radars, lots of them, with around 10% chance of US radar, and 4% russian radar. Yeah we know that "Mino radar" is a thing, but let's not Sailing around like a lighthouse and can't really do much against CV perma spot It's solid, but not "I can delete cruisers across the map, tank stuff , have radar, and can cit BB at range" moskva solid other ships are easier to execute and ppl probably have those instead of newer lines, it has something like 156 310 battles The ship has a 2.1% play rate, it's close(+-0.5%) to Thunder, Republic, Moskva, daring, Kleber, Hindi, Zao, haru, z-52, Conq, Yoshi, HIV, salem. The tldr of it is the pepperoni shooter is a solid ship,but other cruisers are stacked, CV dunks on most but hurts pepperonis the most due to it's concealment In case you want to check stats, here they are. Hard to play at high skill. This is NOT an example of playing it at high skill. More incompetence of enemy team. He did many things wrong. Main thing is going after the right targets. BBs are last on that list, unless they are French. And that was his main focus the entire first half of the game. DDs and light cruisers take priority and it can take a Smolensks on 1v1 as well if you stay angled. Heavy cruisers take alot of damage at first, but once they are saturated you want to get on their sides for good damage. Spotter plane helps with that as you can shoot cross map at cruisers bow tanking. Also the smokes are super important and you don't want to be blowing one like he did with the first one. The ship is armored and maneuverable enough to tank some BB shots and get some cover. I love the Italians as you are rewarded for map awareness/ positioning, target selection and accuracy. Am Unicum with damn near all of them T5 and up.

@@hailitalia86 Agree. Another example ofa super high damage count, based on the BBs not blapping him (the other Venezia too, he didnt fire at all, seems). I see a kaba not terminating their DD in seconds. I'd think it's more due to the mino's game than other things that they won.

@@TheGrandexeno Yea was a messy battle, but that's just how it goes in Ranked nowadays. I brawled and took down a Kremlin the other day in Ranked. Last few ships alive and I snuck up on him and popped around an island after he shot and his guns pointing the other way. Got 3 torps into him and then shot his nose and ass as they have that 32mm armor there. His first salvo hit hard cuz I opened up a bit much, but I literally tanked almost his entire second salvo by baiting him into shooting my side mid section and then closing up on him as I was my nose was pointed away from him. She has good side armor and the rudder lets you goad people into shooting that mid armor and angle at the last second to mitigate their damage. Again its a not a easy ship, but in the right hands it can work anything over in a brawl.

The AP is super unreliable, but if it can citadel at 3 or 4 km like the Zao can to some BB's than maybe it would work. I might have to test that out in training to see. You have to know enemy BB armor layouts if you really want to excel with here as that SAP can do a ton of damage to a BB if you shoot the right spots on certain ships. The main problem with her AP is the chance of getting an overpen hurts alot as AP shells actually have a lower max damage rate. So you need to get citadels to make up for it. SAP max damage is 5,200, while AP is 4,800. So lets say you take a full salvo shot at 8km or so and the shells spread out a bit as they will do that even with the aiming mod. Lets say you get 10 hits, but 5 are overpens, 5 are normal pens and the other 5 miss or shatter. So with AP you get 5 pens for .33 damage of 7,920 plus 5 overpens at .10 damage for 2,400 for a total of 10,320 With SAP all 10 have to be pens and that comes out to be 17,160. Huge difference I can't count how many times I had a broadside cruiser and took a AP shot and got nothing but some pens and a bunch of overpens for like 5k damage. Where if I used SAP it would have been in the 10-13k range if im hitting 10 or 12 out of the 15, which is usually what I get a mid range as I run the aiming mod and the dispersion already is tight at those mid ranges for the most part. I like to shoot AP at around 10km or less and have to put them right into the perfect spot to have a hope. When it comes to Stalingrad and Moskva I can reliably get citadels, usually 1 or 2 at range of 13km or 14km. If I'm up close getting 4 to 6 is normal so I almost always go with AP for those ones when I catch their sides. Other cruisers that aren't the British CL's or Russian it is risky as shit, sadly. I still love her though as the line truly rewards map awareness, target selection and aiming/ enemy armor knowledge.

I dont get the Venezia work for me - I have double rudder skilled - do you think this is not good? Is concealment-Skill better?

I run both concealments as the rudder is already excellent on it. It gets it down to 12.2 I believe which isn't great, but still every bit helps since you have speed and can utilize islands. Plus the enemy shells have that small dispersion penalty too. If your gonna play it you need to learn armor layouts of all the BBs and some of the heavy cruisers. Shooting the right targets in the right spot seperates great players from the bad ones. Destroyers and light cruisers are priority, then heavy cruisers, then BBs. I also use spotter plane which lets you slap broadside island campers across map and gives you eyes when you smoke up. I will often rush down a DD if I can sneak up using an island, smoke up, pop the plane and when they get spotted you have to make the first shot really count as the smoke fire penalty is 10km. When I use the smoke to do a hit and run I will also get myself more than 50% thru my turn out, unless I know 100% I won't get smoke spotted, so when I shoot I can close the angle immediately as you will draw alot of attention. I see dumb Venezia's pop their smoke and take their shot, get spotted, then start turning around and they get slapped hard. It's a bad bad habit alot of people do. Also, when I see people not knowing how to play Venezia that usually tells me they Free XP'd thru the line and didn't grind it. Which, in all honesty, is the worst thing you can do for a line that has a high skill ceiling. If you did that, I suggest you go back to T6 or T7 and play them and learn them as they get exponentially better, especially at T8 as they go from 2x4 turrets to 3x3 with 2 turrets up front and you feel the power of that at those mid tiers.

Pens 51mm or 203mm ap what else u need to know... No cruiser can pen bbs citadel with 203mm

@@grimmshredsanguinus2915 Zao and Desmoine can at super close range, just like Venezia. Need to be with 3km for Montana and within 5km for Conqueror/ Thunderer. Venezia cannot citadel any other T10s. Tested it in Training Room. Started at 1km and worked my way back on a perfectly flat side, any slight angle defeated it and could not get pens.

@@hailitalia86 yes indeed but when u try that bbs salvo will devastate the cruiser so in theory yes but a cruiser cant be played as a bb to come that close and blap a bb... it has rate of fire not a devastating barrage
