Going through the same thing in Nigeria. Matter of fact we have been having gas issues for as long as I can remember. The queues fluctuate but the quality of the fuel is still poor. We have the crude yet we export it to be refined and the buy it back to consume, doesn't make any sense. Worse is we have refineries that have been left to rot. Every year money is set out to fix the refineries but 20 years later, they are still being "fixed". Recently Dangote, a wealthy business man, used his own money to build his refinery, it is working but people in the government are actively trying to sabotage it and I believe I don't have to mention why. Truly sad

As a journalist in Iran, I know that Iran isn't exporting fuel to Venezuela at this time and is also in serious need of fuel, even importing it itself! In this report, the expert claims that there has always been doubt about Iranian fuel, and it is mentioned that the number of fuel pumps in need of repair has increased over the past 5 years or so. I think we cannot blame Iranian fuel for the explosion of cars, or at the very least, there should be more convincing proof to support this claim.

I would say it is best to switch to Micro-mobility and public transport. Don't know what the law's there, but a 1000 watt Magic Pie from Golden Motor would be plenty for hauling stuff and people around :) For electric 💡⚡ issues one could buy an all in one power station like mine from All Powers. Connect a solar PV and charge electronics, e-bike🪫 purely on DC to waste as little power as possible. As for cheap EVs they have a place in time and space but cars 🚗🚗 in general should be limited on the road 🛣️. If one would need to fill out a form to justify it's use before they can acquire and drive it we would have less cars around hauling a single person. It's very inefficient to move ~90kg by moving a machine that weighs a ton, and it's bad for the environment as well.

Yes, we had 2 fuel shortages in Brazil that I can remember. The first was the 70's oil crisis, of course. Ethanol alcohol was developed from sugar cane as an alternate fuel (cars weren't bi-fuel then, so you either had an "alcohol" car or a gasoline one). But they sucked. Later in the 80's hyperinflation days, there was another shortage of ethanol this time due to prices being fixed and sugar cane farmers causing market shortages, so more methanol was allowed in the mix. It was highly poisonous even if you happened to smell it and could also lead to blidness. This shortage was short and the "methanol" days were over in a couple of months, IIRC. We still have ethanol around and bi-fuel cars that can handle any mix of both fuels efficiently. Ethanol is cheaper, but less efficient. Sometimes gasoline is a better bang for your buck, sometimes it's not. There are even apps and calculators for that nowadays.

About 1l of water for 1hr of operation of a 2l engine. Note that more less water will be required depending on driving conditions engine size and fuel quality water spray quality. Ensure to idle the engine after use for 1-2 min to evaporate any residual water.
