Wow I researched the tragedy that the man was talking about around 15:40. “The Vargas tragedy was a natural disaster that occurred in Vargas State, Venezuela on 15 December 1999 (over the course of 10 days), when torrential rains caused flash floods and debris flows that killed tens of thousands of people, destroyed thousands of homes, and led to the complete collapse of the state's infrastructure. According to relief workers, the neighborhood of Los Corales was buried under 3 metres (9.8 ft) of mud and a high percentage of homes were simply swept into the ocean. Entire towns including Cerro Grande and Carmen de Uria completely disappeared. As much as 10% (30,000 people) of the population of Vargas died during the event.” That is so terrifying and sad.

You need a teacher / school .. at some point. and THEN practice . speaking/thinking is more than replacing words with foreign equivalents ^^' You can learn the dictionary by heart, you will never be able to make a proper sentence so yeah : What you describe is quite normal... especially with english ppl because modern us language is way too easy / simple. Therefore any other language seem too hard. Your brain will never feel the need to comprehend some foreign grammar concepts :/ in the end , as an adult, you lack intelligence Also , english speakers tend to think (especially americans) that everyone talk english and think like them => they dont "need" to learn how to speak which is a severe mistake ofc. Kids should be into different languages very very early. I mean from 3 year old. Otherwise they face the difficulty you have as an adult .. no time left to go to school , shame of failure , unique engraved way of thinking/speaking ... it gets hard indeed I feel rly bad for some US citizens... brain completely locked with unique biaised thougts ...

He may have saved our lives. We had turned to leave but they caught up with us right at the edge of the barrio. YOU ARE A BEAST KURT! People open up to you because of your authenticity. Though you have the gringo impression, people quickly understand how down to earth you are and how much you stand your ground. Naturally, they treat you as their own and don’t mess with you… Balls of steel, heart of gold!
