@@masterofalltrades_ higher taxes on everyone, but you wouldn't hesitate to ignore the lower middle class if it means sticking it to people you don't like. Canada is a leading tax haven for LLCs, the only major nation to allow them without needing a named owner, so you can collect profits in the USA and hide them in Canada thanks to Pierre Trudeau. The economy is also very bad, hospitol emergency rooms are packed, surgeries often take years and people die waiting more often than the US. Cost of living is much higher, including higher gas prices, grocery costs, rent prices (despite rent controls), we tariff ideologically, meaning goods we get internationally are heavily taxed, and we are completely dependant on the American economy to support what jobs we do have. The summers are pretty nice though. Both months.

"La Russa has already recognized the legitimate president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, nothing will change in this position" "With the coordination of the White House, we are trying to undermine the democratic life of Venezuela and make a coup against the constitutional regime, free and democratic in force in our country "Nicolas Maduro. The Russian Foreign Ministry has defined the scenario of military intervention in Venezuela unacceptable. The department is sure that these actions will only aggravate the situation in the country. "Venezuela must protect its right to solve its problems, a military invasion of the American empire will never be a solution for Venezuela" "In some Middle Eastern countries, like in North Africa, a disaster has been caused, in the form of civil war or invasion of mercenaries, here in Venezuela it will not happen " " Is it in the interests of the United States to destabilize the entire region? It makes sense for them to insist on this military adventure in a place that has always defined their "backyard" "where they might not be able to control the consequences of this step, especially in an environment where some geopolitical events are already forming an unfavorable situation for them?"

@@edgarlopeztrejo5308 FYI, here's how legitimate Maduro's government is according to the NYT (5/18/18): "Electoral officials declared Mr. Maduro the victor Sunday night, in a contest that critics said was heavily rigged in his favor. In the capital and around the country, the turnout was extremely low, with more than half of voters not casting ballots, reflecting both a call from many opposition leaders for a boycott of the vote and the disillusionment of longtime government supporters. Voting centers in pro-government strongholds and opposition areas alike often had no lines - a significant change from previous presidential elections, and a sign that many Venezuelans repudiated the candidacies of both Mr. Maduro and the two opposition candidates." I agree, ART POP, that POTUS is disrespectful and that Washington issued a statement prematurely. I also agree that our priority should be building relationships with other countries. That said, our relationship with Venezuela has been tainted since 1999 when Chávez legitimately won and began his substantiated anti-U.S. rhetoric given Washington's meddling in LatAm since the 19th century. With the door about to hit Maduro's ass on the way out given his monumental failure to put his people first, Guaidó's move will hopefully (as he claims) pave the way for upcoming legitimate elections that will get the country, and its people both inside and abroad, back on solid economic ground. Too early to tell.

@@edgarlopeztrejo5308 this really isn't a trump story. the relationship between venezuela and america has been strained for nearly 2 decades now. the previous venezuelan president called american leaders the devil, and would often blame america for political problems they face. furthermore, america isn't alone in denouncing maduro as not the rightful president. canada, france, peru, columbia, ecuador, argentina, costa rica, brazil, chile and guatemala are also alongsie america on this.

@Bmwbloc. The whole U.S government (not only Trump) oppose this dope-running murderous mafia led by Maduro. Europe and most Latin America also are cornering these thieves who launder money using international banks. Last election produced very low voter turnout. and these rats claimed 3 and a-half more votes than were cast for them. So Maduro is no longer recognized because of FRAUD. Now we are on the verge of kicking them all out and we need all the help we can muster from the rest of the world. Hope this helps you understand. Hope you don´t listen to ignorants who aren´t in this country, don´t see people suffering from hunger and lack of transport, medical services and policemen turned robbers.

Luisa F.V. Cleaves - May I please ask you one simple question? Why do you feel it necessary to remove a man (Maduro) from office, who's entire Presidency has been devoted to keeping Venezuela a sovereign nation and resisting any external meddling (i.e. US Imperial governments) ?? Do you realise, because of the efforts and policies of men like Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela was able to lift millions of Venezuelans out of perpetual poverty and educational ignorance ??? Do you realise, under the direction of these men - PDVSA (the state controlled oil company) was created and a large part of PDVSA's profits was used to fund social programs that benefited the poorest of Venezuelans ??? Do you realise, between 2004 and 2010 PDVSA contributed $61.4 billion to the government's social development projects, with around half of this went directly to various Bolivarian Missions while the remainder distributed via the National Development Fund. Luisa - HONESTLY, when was the last time you ever heard of EXXON-MOBIL or STANDARD OIL or SHELL use their profits to help poor Americans ?? I'll answer that one for you - NEVER, that's when !!! (All the profits go to CEO's salaries and dividends go to wealthy shareholders) Privately owned oil companies DO NOT CARE about poor people, Luisa. They don't care about you - they don't care about me. (they don't even care about the environment) To me, the answer is as simple as the air I breathe - Long live President Maduro, - Long live a free Venezuela and - Long live true Socialism !!! AND I APOLOGISE TO NO ONE - ESPECIALLY A GREEDY CAPITALIST !!!

This. Venezuela are where they are because Maduro and Chavez before him abused their reach of power. And that's not all: they gambled everything on oil, and thus they screwed everything up instead of having an economic Plan B like any responsible government would have. @alexs16405 жыл бұрын
@@Beginstheman Actually, I may be wrong here cause I read it so long ago, but didn't Venezuela under Chavez get stronger? I remember reading the people were happy with the socialist policies that helped the poorest rise up, creating a strong middle class and taking a broken down country in the 1990s to a strong economy in the late 2000s. It showed that socialism wasn't inherently bad, it was just as with any other form of government, came down to how the country was governed, because after Chavez died, Maduro ran it into the ground. Conservatives love blaming failures of socialist countries on socialist policies but even capitalist countries can do poorly if badly governed and socialist countries can do well if properly governed.
