This all time party favourite took the world wide charts by storm. From the # 2 spot in the UK to the top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100. Gets the whole Yankee Stadium on its feet to this day. The 90’s hit was first released November 9, 1998 on Up And Down - The Party Album.
In the video The Vengaboys take the Vengabus through the beautiful Province of Barcelona ending up in a nightclub in La Barceloneta, Barcelona. Little known true fact; At the time of the shoot this Vengabus had no working brakes.

I used to listen to this when I was a kid back in the 90's. I have 2 children of my own now, they are 8 and 5. This morning while we were sitting in the car before school, they asked if they could listen to "we like to party". I was thinking NO WAY can it be the vengaboys. Then they pointed at this video and we proceeded to have a mini rave waiting for the school bus. I was crying with tears of laughter and they were both super pumped for school. It brought back so much nostalgia. The 90s were awesome and this song took me right back to that time. I'm so excited for our next dance party before school tomorrow! Granted, every decade had their contrasting less cheery subcultures, usually as response to the general culture, but that's the point, they usually had their own spot as alternatives and weren't the majority. Now most want to be edgy, dark and "deep". Even when they try to mix both cuteness/cheery with the previously mentioned elements, most of them kinda fail for still being in your face. It all started in the late 00s and it continue. That said, there ARE jewels in the past decades, though, even if they don't represent the 90's, but their own respective decades, and that's good too.
