OCS requires a minimum of 90 credit hours toward a degree to enter, and completion of an undergrad degree shortly after completion of OCS.

Not a bad story. Would have liked it to have gone on just a Tad longer. Seeing the MC get to talk with his fam again would have been nice. Other than that not too shabby.

Too many of these stories talk about people being in the military but the activities don't make sense. For example, if he is in the Army, what is he doing in his home town instead of where the Army wants him. Then, you don't just put your paperwork in and get out of the Army whenever you feel like it. Also, you don't just go from being an enlisted soldier to being an officer. If you are going to diverge so extremely from what it true of the US military, don't stage your story in the US.

The writers know veterans rely on their experiences to fight back, etc., but they fail to recognize the differences between the services and ranks. The gig is up when I hear majors and colonels in the Navy. Also, using tough units mixed up with the services such as seals in the Army or rangers in the Navy. Or worse yet, their training as gunny sergeants, but reference the Navy.
