The bathrooms should be locked up at ten p.m and unlock at 7.00 a.m. Secondly the bathroom should be coin operated e.g. parking e.g. 25 cents/use. And after that it will automatically unlock. That might cover some of the expenses used to maintain the facility.

Pay restrooms used to be a thing, but are frowned on or illegal in the USA, unlike in some other countries. They could make the restrooms smaller so that a shopping cart and bike won't fit in there.

Whoa, having private bathroom stalls in Venice must have been planned back in the horse-&-carriage age. Or at least around the age of cars with fins. That bldg, however, doesn't look like it was built around, say 1865 or 1955. BTW, I was reading how a major business in downtown LA has to sanitize the shoes of employees before they enter the office because they pick up so much residue of human waste left on nearby sidewalks. The homeless situation in central LA makes coastal Venice look like a day in the park. SMH

Easy solution to clean the streets and make them more safe and healthy for the hardworking people who are paying taxes more then anyone in USA. Dirt + hot weather = cholera, malaria 1. Tell the homeless to stay in shelters and use shelters washrooms not the ocean or the streets 2. If they come back on street (they are shameless and hate the rules ) police are going to bring them back in the shelters and give them warning, next time they will be arrested 3. If they still don’t obey, they need to be arrested 4. Tell them that in jail they will be forced to work , washing dishes, cleaning washrooms, helping preparing the food in kitchen, working in fields… and internet they will get just two hours a day in the evening before they go to sleep Trust me! There will not be anymore this shameless, dangerous and selfish people on streets!
