Venice Louisiana World class Tuna and Wahoo fishing

Fantastic fishery there; wished I'd gone more; maybe again soon. Went there in 2012; I got a 151# yellowfin, my friend got a 152, plus lots of blackfin and bonita.

Yep. We caught 5 100lbs yellow fins in a hour span at Venice. Been shutout a couple times so you appreciate those moments.

You call that rough water??????? Anyway, really nice big ono's!! Too bad one got shark bit. Nice busting ahi school feeding in the surface too!! I guess sharks can be a real problem fishing out there especially around the rigs. Those big outboard motorscovering your whole transom sure can get in the way!! I love having diesel inboard and straight shaft set up on my custom built Force 30, plus my fish holds can take 6000 plus lbs. of fish and I make ice and seawater brines so they are in top shape when I come in. I live in Hawaii where I was born and raised and I commercial fish off the Big island where I live. Been fishing for45+ years now, and yeah, it's such a rush when you get on a good bite like this!!
