Venice The Series - Web Series Episode 11 Season 2

We are near the end of season 2 of the web series - Venice - Lara (Nadia Bjorlin) and Ani (Jessica Leccia) argue about the evening before and Ani confronts her about her drinking. It escalates and Ani leaves.
Owen (Galen Gering) comes clean about the movie with Guya (Hillary B. Smith) and she encourages him to trust in his relationship enough to tell Sami (Gina Tognoni).
Gina (Crystal Chappell) writes a letter to Ani confessing her true feelings and reads it to herself out loud while mistakenly thinking the colonel (Jordan Clarke) is asleep in his chair.
Van (Wes Ramsey) shows up at the soup kitchen to see Sami and kisses her right at the moment that Owen is walking into the room. Owen leaves unnoticed.
Lara again is at the bar drinking seething that her book deal was pulled and being upset over Ani. As always, Jamie (Harrison White) lends an ear and when Lara falls asleep at the bar, he calls her a car.
Ani confides her concerns with Lara's drinking with Gina. They have a special moment that ends in an embrace. Ani goes to find Lara at home and finds her inebriated. Wow, Nadia's acting was absolutely amazing. There's no doubt, this is why Venice Season 2 won an Emmy Award. Great episode, I can't stop to watch again and again the last scene, I'm really amazed. Nadia and Jessica were SO PERFECT not only in this episode, but ALL the season. Lara and Ani are soulmates despite all their mistakes. Bravo, CC!!! When she was reading that beautifully tender letter, I could truly feel her love for Ani, her regret for letting Ani go, her longing to have her lady love, her bittersweet joy as she thinks that Ani is happy and her relief to finally say the words...even if its just a letter that she'll never send. It would be incredibly romantic if Ani could find that letter at just the right moment or incredibly "soapy" if Ani finds the letter at the worst possible moment.

Gina’s letter to Ani was so emotional, it’s true that you’ll only miss the person when you took her/him for granted. She always played easy on Ani’s feelings before, hurt her so much or f****d up but when Ani found someone, it crushed her so much as she crushed Ani of dating random women. I hate Gina for being like that to be honest with Ani, I thought Ani deserves someone who’s ready give all for her, she’s an amazing and very kind woman that needs to be treasured.

Lara and ani scene was powerful. Lara is out of it. NB killed this scene. Ani should have been had this conversation with her when she initially read the emails. This is long overdue. Omg. I would be done with Lara. Drunk or not she was doing way to much swinging prior to even shoving Ani’s head into the wall. It’s sad. I know she felt remorseful afterwards but nah, she can’t do that level of toxic. They were cute together and I felt they could work it out until now… Ani doesn’t deserve this.😢 This is my favorite episode so far. Acting was superb for CC, JL and NB👏

These people are such AMAZING actors. Oh my god. Especially Nadia, and Jessica Leccia is gorgeous... well they are all gorgeous, but whenever Ani talks about her body issues I just want to hug her, and whenever I see Lara with a drink I want to tell her to put it down. What's great is that this show has lots of real issues with some romance and humor mixed in. It's clear that Gina really loves Ani, because she's willing to give up her own happiness to let her be happy.

When Gina puts the envelope in her bag, there's no stamp on it, and she says she probably will never send it. When The Colonel pulls the letter out of the bag,- voila!,- it has a stamp on it! How convenient! Also, weirdly, Gina puts it in her bag only halfway, so it sticks out. Why bother putting it in the bag at all? Crystal, Nadia, & Jessica were all incredible in this ep. The tears in JL's eyes when she pleaded, "But I thought you also wanted me...that you wanted us?" were not lost on me just because they weren't as dramatic as CC or NB's tears.

Wow. What a powerful ending. The actors all really seemed to hit their stride and nailed it in this episode. Up til this point, I've had a hard time buying that the series is selling Lara as an alcoholic or at least with a drinking problem, simply because there is alcohol involved in almost every scene in this series. They all drink as if a drought is coming.

Lara is drinking heavily because she has to accept the fact that although Ani "cares" for her, she doesn't love her like she loves Gina and it hurts. A lot of the times when folks Drink it's a Coping Mechanism and Gina really is the Third Wheel in their lives especially when her Brother died.

Gina’s letter was heartbreaking. Girl, go get your woman!!! I love how she poured her heart out and took accountability for her actions. She admitted that she was simply terrified to really give all of her to Ani. And she realized it’s always been Ani for her ❤. Aww, she said she’s ready to love her the way Ani deserve to be loved and to show her how much everyday for the rest of their lives… 😢She’s the missing piece of her puzzle That was powerful. The gravesite confession all over again. And she’s not even sending it because she’s happy with Lara and doesn’t want to be selfish… Looks like it moved the Colonel. Van needs to back off and Sami needs to kick him to the curb. Van was wrong for kissing her and that should have told her his intentions. He’s not innocent. Brandon is better than me because I can not deal with Guya in a relationship. All that talking to the dead would creep me out. But hey he loves it. He’s good for her though.

I just watched this episode a few times, and I listened to Gina read the letter a few times. In season one episode one, Gina said that her and Ani have been together only a year. But when Gina is reading the letter, she states that she’s been in love with Ani for a long time. She’s going back to Otalia days. Another line from Otalia days is when Olivia was at Gus’s grave site and she mentioned that she broke the heart he gave her because of her love for Natalia. In this letter Gina says her heart is breaking. Just as Olivia was willing to give up Natalia, the same is said for Gina to let Ani go as long as she’s happy. The parallels are very evident.

Now Ani decides to confront Lara about her drinking and she starts on some jealousy crap about Lara and Jess which I did not see. But the way she is with Gina she has no room to talk about anyone being all over anyone. She does need to get her drinking under control but what is the plan? Lara begging for her not to go or leave her is sad. Sounds like she has abandonment issues. I don’t think Ani should of left her like that. She said she getting freaked out by her drinking but has she tried to talk to her prior to this? Ani allowed it to spiral out of control instead of nipping it in the butt. I don’t fault her if she wants to break up with her but if she stays she needs to play a bigger role in helping her with her sobriety because it’s seems Ani is wrapped up in Ani and sweeping Lara’s issues under the rug. Lara lost her deal and she’s losing Ani but she is still drinking smh 🤦🏽‍♀️. Gina calling the colonel her dad aww. How cute. Ani going to Gina with her Lara problem is crazy😮. But Gina actually gave her great advice and wasn’t biased💕. Gina meeting up with Ani after pouring her heart out in that letter is the intriguing part. And giving her advice in support of Lara 👀.WOW!! Gina is starting to be less selfish. She’s putting Ani’s feelings first. Aww, Ani loves Lara, but is scared. I would be too 🥴. Poor girl needs AA.
