ASMR Show and Tell: What's in my Bag?

Hey everyone! Here's a video I've been meaning to make for a looooong time. A (mostly) accurate accounting of the toys, tools, and junk I carry with me on a daily basis. I won't lie--the subject matter probably isn't so interesting, but I hope the sounds and hand motions will give you some satisfying tingles.

I had no idea this video existed. It's bitter-sweet to suddenly find a 'new' VVV vid after so long. I'll always be grateful for everything Violet created. It's like she teased out every atom of me, buffed them to a shine, and clicked them perfectly back into place. Ahh I am yet to find a better ‘what’s in my bag’ video. I feel many artists concentrate only on the contents and not on the bag itself. What I love about this video is the balance of the bag sounds as well as the contents. It’s been my go to video for absolute years!

This is the video that taught me that ASMR was and is an actual thing. Audio sensory meridian response. I would almost fall asleep in school if a teacher had just the right kind of voice and mannerisms, or the sounds they made while grading papers at their desk. I still react to nice voices and Violet has that type of voice. I still watch this video a few times a week to relax. She hasn't uploaded in over four years, but I hope her life is going wonderfully well.☺ We miss you Violet. 💕

DAMN, Violet! You've been gone a while, but you're lookin' GOOD! I wouldn't be concerned about whether or not you're "keeping up with what's popular" in ASMR. Nowadays it's like Field of Dreams - "If You Film It, They Will Watch." Somewhat less pervy BS from trolls, somewhat more mainstream recognition, but otherwise, nothing ever changes. This is all experimental stuff anyways, so if you're doing whatever random stuff you want, like you used to, you're keeping up just fine. Just ask ThatASMRchick, she does a lot of VERY weird things, very much against the grain. I like her channel solely because of that - she's not about what's popular, rather pushing the limits and seeing what crazy, simple stuff might work. Needless to say, though, thanks for gracing us with your presence! Now I'm gonna get me some sleep.

But everyone has their own "fingernails on a chalkboard." For me, it's any video with metallic sounds (tapping on a teapot or whatever).

tylerx2f01 I've seen a few of his "post-apocalyptic" videos... candy-man, etc. I dig what he does, pushing the envelope and all. Quality work. I just can't get the same results out of a man's voice that I can from a woman's. I'm not trying to be sexist or overly macho, just... men can't trigger me nearly as effectively. Something psychological to it, probably way deeper than just being a straight male, I'm sure. Nonetheless, I need a woman's "touch" to lull me down deepest.

Violet, I recently discovered what ASMR is and also discovered how it effects me. I have watched (listened) to a few of your videos and they have really helped me greatly with reducing my stress level and tension. I have actually noticed a physical reduction in neck tension and headaches (as well as the tingling effect feels amazing). Please continue doing your videos I enjoy them a great deal. As a side note, I have a suggestion for helping with sound quality that I learned about way back in high school to help with reducing echo in your recording. I'm sure you have probably heard a ton of them, but if you are interested in another, let me know.

I've been a fan of your videos for a while. I was skeptical of this video but after watching it I love it. The sounds of the purse and the rummaging through the items is so relaxing along with your whispering. Yes, these videos still are appreciated.
