We see that in nature documentaries all the time. Prey animals are built to not get caught and predators are built to catch. There should be a tension as those two truths fight.

Pretty sure that soldier that lost only his calves (who was also strangely the only soldier to really get a focused scene) was Flash Thompson. Happens during the final battle outside, Xenophage shreds his legs slowly while throughout the whole film, anything in their mouths get instantly shredded. He also gets extracted when Strickland and Eddie grab him. I believe that was their in-universe Flash and how he lost his legs.

Let me just say that this film was 1000x better then the first two movies. The violence and blood were on point for a pg13. Knull looked menacing and scary af. The woodchipper monsters (how i like to call them now) were absolutely overpowered and i did not know how venom could take more then one at a time. I really hope the heroes of the mcu have to handle those things and there opinion on them.
