@@novcane4216 it’s probably because DB has almost made it a tradition to do the Bat-family vs the Spider-family, and this was the next most likely villain match up. 2 big buff dudes with a personal vendetta against the main character that are physically stronger than them through the use of a mysterious substance called “Venom” and act as a dark mirror of who the hero is.

@@novcane4216 Agreed. The truth of the matter is, while Bane is famous for his strength, he's physically outclassed by a lot of supers. Honestly I wish they made better use of the fact that Bane was supposed to be a tactical genius on par with Batman as opposed to just a physical brute. With that being the case he should absolutely have been capable of preparing himself to take on the JL or superior threats that he couldn't beat with his drugs alone.

@@Razzrazz90 Good point, though sadly I wish DC made better use of that "dark mirror" aspect of Bane. In most comics he makes use of his brawn over his supposed tactical genius that should have been on par or at least comparable to Batman. Making use of devices or other people, he could potentially take on the JL instead of just constantly being pitted against Batman, or other more powerful threats that his Venom alone wouldn't suffice.

Mahati to be honest for bane it’s a bit of an outlier. He gets knocked out by a peak human Batman yet is also able to take hits from Super Batman? And while Venom would get wrecked if Hulk or Juggernaut actually tried, he can legitimately take at least ONE hit from one of them consistently since he is superhuman.

@Mahati When did that happen? As far as I know, Bane never fought Superman in the main timeline, only in the animated series and Injustice, and each time Bane was buffed and/or Superman was weakened. Bane only fought against an alternate version of Batman with Superman's powers, but weaker, and man, believe me when I say it didn't end well for poor Bane

@@LuckyVarma11 Not quite. Carnage is faster and more mutable. Carnage also lives inside of Casadey's blood and so can never be seperated from him. But...he is NOT physically stronger than Venom. Whenever Carnage is forced to go blow for blow against Venom....Carnage is on the losing end and has to run away to reset the fight in favor of his speed and blade skills, or have someone else intervene to do the same thing. Once Venom gets in close and can get his hands on Carnage...Carnage is screwed every time. Even the other symbiotes, only Riot is physically stronger than Venom. The others are just more versatile and thus can display a certain superiorority. Once they get in Venom's hands though...they all lose out to his physical strength other than Riot who IS physically stronger and forces Venom into trying to be strategic.

Although I do agree that Dexter would come out on top, I think that Jimmy could hold his own pretty well. Under times of extreme pressure he's able to do his signature "Brain Blast" which significantly amps his already Einstein level IQ. +Joe Humpston - To remove an annoyance. Bane was causing problems and every single person he tested Venom on died. Their hearts would literally explode from the stuff. Good time for an experiment and remove a problem at the same time. Guess he didn't factor in the chance that Bane could actually SURVIVE it.
