Just got my Venova today and I have no idea how to make a sound on it yet. I will keep trying. Besides that, your amazing sounding taught me I should buy the same reed you use but I'm not sure whether I can buy the "Rico Jazz Select Unfiled 2H" in the local store.

A couple things to try- 1.Get a cane reed for soprano sax. The one that comes with the venova is garbage 2.more air. As a musician I know the solution to almost anything is more air support

as someone who used to play a reed instrument, your bottom teeth should be covered by your lip. use fast air, and go to a music store for reeds.

i'm having the same problem, but i was actually an alto saxophonist for 5 years. I guess its becoz of the reed, but i can't manage to switch my alto cane reed to it as the size is different. =.= still waiting for my vandoren reed and i hope the problem solve
