Vent Pipes and the 4 categories of heating appliance ventilation

can a 3 " water heater vent and a 4" furnace vent ---to same vent type b pipe,,,What size should the type b pipe be? 4 " ,5" or 6" ? furnace has a draft inducer , water heater - is conventional ,,,would like to put both to a 4 ' if possible....just for the space i have ,,Thanks
