I'm sick of hearing the comparisons between the different forms of electrical generation! The only competition should be in making all of them more efficient and using the combination to the best effect! If we had our Urban parking lots and flat roof tops covered with solar panels and wind generators, there would be no need to have them out in the rural areas! 💙💙💙

I did not check the costs you had in 2020, however, we are in 2024 and had a solar panel price reduction of 50% just within 2023. For more, solar panels can already provide up to 700W per hour, your statement is wrong. Let's take a current solar panel of 450W, which costs some 150 USD. Then we compare that with the 9000 USD of that wind turbine. Means that the wind turbine is 60 times as expensive. For the record: with the shift to perovskite solar panels will continue to get cheaper while in parallel efficiency increases. As comparison, while in 2020 you had an efficiency of some 20% max, in 2024 we will reach some 29% max. And this is by far not the end.

Those wind turbines where developed for northern Europe coastline where sun is there only for 6 monhts but air is constant 7-9 m/s the whole year.Its optimized for that area but yeah marketing can lie to get more sales.

What happened to the Ventum Dynamics wind turbine at the end of the Skegness pier? A November 2023 video showed a rope tied to the wind turbine blades. An April 2024 video showed that the turbine had been removed from the pier.

The whole concept is totally inefficient. There is no way that the turbines would deliver the power that was promised. It is nothing more than fraud when basically the only income for the company is grants given by ignorant politicians.

They don't have blades? Yes it does on top. Seems to force wind through 180 degrees through several curved tunnels that force air to speed up. Essentially creating a vertical wind tunnel that forces air through the top blade rotor causing a generator to spin. How much power at what wind speed?

All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity. Because there is hardly any wind close to the ground - and electricity yield is proportional to the third power of the wind speed: 100% more wind generates 800% more electricity! Only if you need to be self-sufficient from the power grid, you should erect the largest possible wind turbine on a high mast. With solar modules, on the other hand, you can reliably generate green electricity for 25 years at approx. 5-10 cent/kWh!

All practical tests of ground-based small wind turbines show that they hardly produce any electricity! Electricity yield is proportional to third power of wind speed: +100% wind generates +800% more electricity! Close to ground: 0 constant wind, but extreme gusts! *Due to extreme price decline solar panels generate at least 10 times more electricity with the same investment in time & money!* Unfortunately not at night and not much in winter! But reliable && maintenance-free for 25 y+! And you need a battery for wind and solar.
