In this episode we leave remote Lituya Bay and visit the historic town of Sitka - originally settled by the Klingit people, occupied by the Russians and sold to the United States.

Simply superb. I love watching this channel and listening to the wonderful narrative in the gentle tones of Mr Fleming. This particular video made me want to comment, to say that I believe these videos are getting even better than the normal high standard set over the last 20 years. Brilliant and many many thanks. Westward's engine sounded, to me, like the one in the movie The African Queen. Thankyou for making and sharing the videos of your travels. Your videos are beautiful and I really appreciate all the time that you invest in them. I do have to be careful when I watch them, however, as the combination of your background music and your soothing narrative has, quite often, put me to sleep. I prefer the classic lines of your motor yachts and my husband prefers the style of the Nordhavns.

I love your videos. I also love watching other boating video channel enthusiasts who give tours around yachts like Aquaholic. My favourite videos of his are when he tours Nordhavn and, of course, Fleming yachts. My favourite saying, "if you're floating, you're boating." Would it be possible for you to make a video of you showing us around your boat? Could you comment on some boats you've come across in your years of sailing? There are some like people like Sailing La Vagabonde that are making a carbonfibre trimaran. Do you have any opinions about that as someone who's 3 generations older than them? (no insult intended)

I appreciate your inclusion of the Russian influence of the area. My understanding of their influence was not realized to myself until I had ventured into the realm of northern California. Much to my surprise, I became aware of Fort Ross. A old fort that was originally crafted in the age of Russian fur trading. Today's presentation is very delightful, magnified by currently being blanketed in a beautiful winters' snowfall. Cheers to Venture. I drink a toast of my favorite single malt from the Isle of Islay to the crew of Venture.

Sitka is a great town. And Alaska Airlines flies there daily I believe. Doing a Yacht delivery back in 2015 from Cordova to Seattle we stopped there for a couple days. We moored right next to the 130' Westport built yacht "Serengeti" built for Johnny Carson in 2002. Sadly he died in 2005. So fun to see a Famous Yacht up close and personal. While in Ketchikan on the same trip a Beautiful 65 Fleming moored next to us...not Venture unfortunately. The 65 Fleming is a true work of Art.

Tony You have nice yachts and you are an axe lent videographer . Makes me want a 65' ? The boat , the boat ? Can you or one of your crew talk about her? I know it is not nice ; but , high seas , fuel, range ., speed . That kinda info ( captains POV ). What is the Fleming ? Please don't stop doing what you are doing it is great stuff. Cheers.

My videos are focused on the cruising experience and were never made with the intention of promoting the brand or providing technical details. I think you will find the kind of practical info you are looking for by visiting Flemingyachts.com where you will find a wealth of current information. I retired from managing the company at the age of 73 fifteen years ago.

I thought I had made it crystal clear we have NEVER EVER placed a single ad on any of my 175 videos. If you see an ad it was placed there against my wishes. You Tube do what they wish but they do make it possible for my videos to be seen world wide which a few years ago would have been impossible.

@@FlemingYachts My point was, if there is no music then there can't be any copyright claims! My second point was, KZbin is most likely initiating these copy right claims under fake YT accounts! Since YT is the only party profiting from these copyright claims, it hardly seems likely that individual(s) 'out there' would go to the trouble since YT already has all the technology to seek out music and identify any music played on any YT video! FYI KZbin can and will put ads on all your videos going back to video #1.
