The cranes you saw through the trees is at a new very high end housing development called THE SPYGLASS.. which is located on tavistock terrace ...the road you stopped to try to figure out where it went....if you had taken that road it would have lead you back into the affluent millsborough community and then back to barbican road....

Twelve minutes into your video is Jack's Hill, where many homes are not visible from the street. East rural St Andrew is far removed from developed areas lower down the hill, and some long time residents prefer it that way . Have been acquainted with this area over forty years.

East rural start at Gordon town,Jackshill is just a suburb of Kingston. Irish Town is east rural /SAME on the western end were Red hills and Mannings hill rd morph into Suburban/rural corridor.

My sister's Godmother's family lives in Jacks Hill and we visit periodically, but I never knew of Skyline Drive or that you can take it past Stormy Vale/Beverly Hills to Jacks Hill. Thank you for showing us Jamaicans places we never knew existed.

To get to Skyline dr...you can take Gordon Town Rd from Papine, there is a block making business on your left, Skyline dr is nearby. There is also a look out point, where you can see parts of city Kingston....also benches to sit on...Rita has a house there (over 25 years) she lived there with her kids.....but not Bob.

The roads are so narrow it’s scary with a cliff on one side. If another car bumps into you recklessly for instance, it would result in a deadly plunge. As a child, my folks used to drive us from Kingston to Ocho Rios, quite often using those winding, narrow roads. Didn’t realize the risk back then. But now as an adult, I’m actually scared of heights and would not want to take the trip on those roads anymore. To be young and carefree once again😊. As the saying goes “ignorance is bliss” lol. Anyhow, I love seeing those houses. They are so fabulous! keep those videos coming.

Thanks for sharing this video with us. Hope you all are well. I hate to seem like a nay sayer, but so many people have the facts wrong. Skyline drive is in Jacks Hill proper. Most refer to Jacks Hill as the area off Jacks Hill Road, such as Tavistock Terrace, Farringdon Drive Terrace. Jacks Hill starts way further up, after the intersection with Sunset Ave. (to Norbrook/Manor Park). Jacks Hill Primary is basically the Starting point of jacks Hill which goes around to where the magnificent views are. The Post Office and Police Station are at the center of Jacks Hill, at the top. Notably Bob Marley had a House up there, and his wife Rita Marely lives there. Next time you are up there swing by Mulberry Avenue and Mulberry close. Some pretty nice houses are up there. Please do not take my comments as criticism. I just wanted to sort of get things straight. Keep up the good work, Blessings, and One Love.

That Skyline Drive is so scary in places. One bad turn or a speeding car from the other direction could send you careening off the mountainside. This is scarier than driving over Flat Bridge to me.

Indeed, the Skyline Drive does have its challenging spots, and it's crucial to prioritize safety over speed. Remarkably, this is what also adds to the drive's unique charm and adventurous thrill. We assure you, the beauty and breathtaking views significantly outweigh the fear factor. As for the comparison with Flat Bridge, that's an interesting insight, truly depends on individual experiences, and we’ve yet to drive over Flat Bridge. Hi there! Great question. It might seem tricky, but two vehicles can indeed carefully pass each other on narrow roads based on mutual understanding and respect. They both slow down, give each other as much space as possible, and pass cautiously. Sometimes, one might even have to pull over to allow the other to pass safely. As you wondered, there is an Air B & B in Jacks Called Kingsworth Air B & B. The Sign in the video refers to it as Kingsworth Hostel. It pretty nice, and somewhat inexpensive. Has great views of the sea and mountains. Google it for info.

Absolutely, Jack's Hill does sit proudly at around 1,710 feet above sea level. Yet, our adventure along Skyline Drive took us to an exhilarating altitude of 3,680 feet! What a breathtaking journey that was! We’re glad we were able to share our experience with you. ❤️🚙💨
