Hello Combat Corp! Thank you for your kind words about Rival. Just to clarify a few things and set the record straight, the switch by Loma from Rival was strictly an endorsement deal by his management nothing else. They have paid handsomely to use his name for their brand. Contrary to us, Loma used Rival because he loved Rival. Nothing more nothing less! We will always love Loma and we are proud that he wore Rival for almost his entire pro career and biggest wins. Loma, like everyone else that you see wearing Rival gloves including AJ, wear them because they like them! Plain and simple. We NEVER want people to wear our gloves because they are forced to or are paid to! It goes against my beliefs as a boxing man for over 40 years.

My coach knew you from a different time but I've known you since the age of 12 watching the old ringside dvds! Oh my god this is so awesome! As far as the deal goes, I kinda figured that is how it went. I come from the music industry and unfortunately money talks more than quality. I only have the Loma rb-5s but I use them on a very consistent basis and love them. I always wanted the other Loma products but hey you made them too good! They were gone in seconds! I bought Venum Loma Shield. The gloves are amazing, the most comfortable i ever had or try. The material, quality, shape, comfort, protection is amazing. By far the best gloves on the planet.

I have the gloves too, my only problem is that I cant open the hand without losing my finger position if you know what I mean. Otherwise I think they are ideal for sparring

i think it is probably the most comfortable gloves I put on, pretty good for sparring with bigger ounces and good for pad work with small ounces

Thanks for the review! Just helped me decide 2 pick up a pair of these black/gold man so good. Such a good blend of everything (dont know how they did it) and quality is awesome. Hard to beat this glove. Ive got Fairtex BGV5, BGL6, Hammer Pro, tried RS100, Gurrero & Gurrero V and to me it feels like some of the best qualities of the other gloves put it in one glove while adding innovations. Man not fully broken in yet but still so good already.

Quick question, do you use the grip bar with the tip of your fingers when punching or do you put your fingers all the way to the end of the glove and punch that way?

These are themselves as the competition fight gloves but obviously not 8-10 oz. I spoke to Venum and they confirmed this. A fight glove you can used for years of training with no breakdown. I just bought the 10 oz and await their arrival.

Great Review, Question: Would you buy these/the normal hammer or the Cleto Reyes that you've reviewed. If I'm looking for a glove that has good feedback yet still somewhat protective?

If you are looking for feedback over all, I would say go for the Reyes 10/10 times. They are still my number one for the most part however the venums for sure broke into my top 10 I think. I like the venums because they have more of a sink in punchers feel where as the reyes I feel like I can throw 10000000 punches without stopping

@@combat_corp okay thanks for the info, on a similar train of thought what about the topboxer alien gloves or perhaps even a custom topboxer glove, would you rate that in a similar vein. They are all around the same price for me with topboxer being cheapest, just want to get the best gloves I can. Thanks for responding and sorry for all the questions.

Hey brother just a question I got the same gloves in the Velcro version and I know the leather Is a hardened leather and it feels like you said like some kind of plastic over it how would you go about cleaning that leather ? I wipe my down with a wet cloth but can you use the leather honey on those gloves?

If I weight 151 should I get the 16 or the 14

So you could go either way with 16 or 14 but I would personally recommend 14s for you unless you put another 10-20 pounds on. 100 pounds or less: 8-10 oz 101-125: 10-12 oz 126-150: 12-14 oz 151-180: 14-16 oz 181 and above: 16-20 (and beyond) oz

What gloves would you recommend for sparring(preferably gloves that have matching cup and headgear) for a price limit with like 100-200 dollars?

For a big bundle? Title and Ringside does a good job with that! But for big brands for under 200 dollars is hard unfortunately. Superior Boxing isn't bad, ring to cage, combat sports (which is ringside,) and a few others come to mind but eventually it all goes over 200.

Tough one. I think Winning is overall a better glove in my opinion BUT I do like these a lot! The padding is nice in these but protection wise winning is the king in most categories. Also, Winnings have a decent pop to their shot!

Holy god that was a tough question. My personal all time favorite is the cleto reyes training gloves. I really love hayabusa t3s as well. TopBoxer win1/old school are freakin phenomenal and rival reyes in my opinion. As far as muay thai gloves go I really like Yokkao and Windy
